Chad and BA1 do a good job with recruiting at BCL. I don't subscribe but do read the free stuff like I do on many sites. As long as you have fans and people who follow recruiting, they will share info. Whether it's premium or not. Happens to every site.

What I heard, and what my research said, the whole time was Mick was not leaving UC. It was only a matter of T's and I's. It was never a matter of making more money. A couple schools reached out and said "we're looking to give the new coach XYZ" but no formal offer was made nor any formal talks held. Mick in essence said "Thanks but I am staying with the Bearcats!"

95 % of your takes are about The Ralph. The ralph owns you at this point. You are nothing more than a puppet in his game.

I have not read anything on bcl that I would have considered real inside information in almost 2 years.

so you have had a membership for two years now?

BCA1, What is the last really good peice of inside info BCL gave us. It was a poster on BCN that broke the Lance story. Even stuff like Gods Gift visiting was Zagsblog. I can not remember them really breaking any real news.

Todd could not have been more wrong about this situation. I don't care if he claims that xyz happened late to change his mind...

THe whole time he was really trying to make it seem like Mick was seriously considering leaving UC and when I called him out saying he is obviously making this up and I wasnt worried at all, he still insisted Mick may not be back.

I'm not here to sell anyone on BCL. As most, if not all of you know, I was a frequent member at BCN and BCT long before moving over to BCL.

The last bit of inside info? I guess it depends, but you seem to think some of it is fabricated for ratings. Personally, I think that happens with most media types to begin with, but I'm 100% certain Todd and Chad have close connections to the inner workings of the program.

BCL provides services that BCN and BCT cannot. This is not a slap in the face to either websites, but BCL has people that approach their work with BCL has a full-time job, and are willing to spend money to produce information. For example, recruiting is always down during the college bball season, save for discovering what player is making visits, interviewing them after the visits, reporting on a recruit's play in open gym, etc. However, Chad makes it a point to attend multiple (5-7) AAU events over the summer, and he will scout players, interview players, etc.

Also, I think BCL does a GREAT job with post-game press conferences, etc. Most are free to any member of BCL, but others are not. I enjoy this type of stuff.

On the football front, Tim Adams does an outstanding job. He has a great pulse on the football program, is widely liked by the players/staff at UC and does a tremendous job getting info on recruits.

I'm not pumping the site, but the above is fact. This site, as well as BCN, both offer great forums for debate. BCL has its upsides too. All sites have their negatives.

I guess as many times as you think the recruiting info has been good at BCL, I can recall the many examples of way overhyped recruiting situations. Bobo Morgan, Scottie Hopson and many several others were all but gauranteed locks according to BCL. The Mike Shanahan story, or lackthereof, was nothing more than middle school journalism at its finest. I decided at that point I would never join his website/service based on that event. I hope the website does well because I love Bearcat athletics and I think Tim Adams does a great job, but I will never join myself and I think over time that Todd has shown poor professional practices to say the least. Just my opinion.

I had this discussion with Dave Berk of BCI while waiting for our Sugar Bowl flight out last year. BCI (scout) and BCL and BCR (rivals) are ostensibly journalists breaking and writing stories that happen to have discussion boards on their sites. They have press passes.

BCN and BCT are fan sites with discussion boards. There's knowledgeable people at both places and sometimes they have better sources than the big guns but speaking for BCN, it's not our object to "break news". Sometimes we do but that's not our goal in life. We discuss whatever news or questions come up and go from there. Most of what the pay boards offer eventually trickles down to everyone else anyway. And if we're lucky Koch might do a blog post about it :)

Well said.

BCL has made BCA1 soft... That is a fact.

I remember when he was funny and a little edgy. Now he is by the book.

You miss quoted me, I always stated "IF John Reik comes to UC, UC will win the National Championship". John Reik did not come to UC so we will never know the answer.

Coming from a guy who in mid-February on this board called Mick "a mediocre coach" misquoting is expected.

Playing chicken little on Saturday, getting Cash Wright upset, when there was zero evidence Mick had talked to anyone at NC State is not exactly what a moderator should be doing. You should ban yourself.

Lobot is not a moderator here. So there's no problem, right Ralph?

You're wrong here. There were conversations but they didn't go very far. But to indicate that it was all simply made up is false at best but it's probably closer to just being dishonest.

And Ralph, stop talking about bans. Why can't you debate the points and leave the 5th grade crap in your pocket? After all, your act has got you banned at every Bearcat site at one time or another. Let it go.

What where John Reiks numbers this year? He surely looked good. Was he in the talks for player of the year... exactly. clown.

As for mick, im sold on his recruiting and defensive schemes... Not offensive.

Mike DeCourcy is pretty adamently posting on twitter that if NC State would have approached Mick early in the process, they would have had a good chance of landing him.

Maybe Mike is on BCL's payroll as well.

Whatever you have to say about Bearcatlair, do not discount the job that Tim Adams does with football.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions unless it involves a criticism of Tim. In my opinion, that man knows more about UC football than anyone outside of the program on the planet.

He has an amazing rapport with recruits and current players and he's a heck of a writer too, something that can't be said of many writers at Rivals and Scout affiliated websites.
