I think Pead has a monster game. They let Ray Graham run wild on them. It is hard to play against USF and Daniels because they are so hit or miss. I don't think they are that good but I think they are capable of beating almost anybody.

I am going to be watching this one after class on Saturday around 6 or 7.

I will stay with my prediction that USF edges us in a close one.

I'd like this game better if it were at home. I think tomorrrow's game will be of true test of how good we are. We really got to figure a way to control Daniels. Make him beat us with his arm, not his legs. We used to let Pat White run all over us. Drove me nuts.

Did ESPN disable the ability to watch the games on ESPN3 in full screen? I don't have a full screen button.

What in the hell is Zach doing there? Sweet Jesus!

He continually makes the most ill advised throws I have ever seen in all y years of watching football. Has nobody ever told the kid to sset your feet when you throw the damn ball!

I was saying the same thing when he threw that pick late in the 2nd quarter. That has to be THE DUMBEST throw I've ever seen out of senior playing for his third season. He just does not understand getting rid of the ball or eating a play. But we won, so all is well in the world for now!!

Zach was marvelous in the 4th quarter today. For all he did wrong earlier in the game, he was money when it mattered most.

Great win on the road. I honestly didn't think they'd win today. Both sides made some big plays and both sides made some boneheaded plays, but at the end of the day we ended up on top and I'll gladly get out of there with the W. I thought the missed extra point was going to end up costing us the game. But, great drive to win the game. Hopefully this gives us even more confidence going forward. Thought the defense did a great job today. They gave up a few big plays, but for the most part kept Daniels from beating them. Did a good job in numerous short field situations to get a stop or hold to a FG attempt.

Anyone else notice that little shovel pass from Daniels in USF's last scoring drive was a yard past the line of scrimmage? I rewound it to be sure. It was close to a lateral, but it looked like it was a forward pass and he was definitely beyond the line of scrimmage. That penalty could have stalled that drive and held them to a FG attempt to tie it. Turns out it didn't matter.

I agree, but he's too far along in his career to continually make these boneheaded decisions with the ball. I won't harp on him too much, cause we got the win.

Thanks for being honest, I never had a doubt.

Also, after seeing the replay I thought it was a lateral, at first I did think it was a forward pass. He was definitely across the line, but to me it looked like a pitch.

I keeps it real, my man. I'll admit I do tend to be a pessimist when it comes to predictions on games, but being on the road and knowing what a great duel-threat Daniels was, I thought USF would come out on top. His receivers sure didn't do him any favors in the first half. They had at least three drives stall due to dropped balls.

The pass itself was very close. But being that it was a shovel pass (which typically happen on forward passes) and not a pitch or toss (which typically happen on laterals) seems to me that it should confuse the refs enough to throw the flag. I'm guessing they didn't notice it was beyond the line of scrimmage.

I regret not being there for that one. Obviously in hindsight I'm kicking myself because I could have made the trip, but I got to watch it with nparker1 in the comfiness of my living room. Got to do the same today, so at this point we can't jinx them for these big road games.

That was, without a doubt one of the best games I've ever been to.

Me too! I was actually in Pittsburgh for a district meeting this week and was telling all my colleagues about that game. We could see Heinz field from our hotel windows and it sure brought back some memories.

I posted a tweet today after USF scored saying how this game really reminded me of that Pitt game. I was hoping for a similar outcome. What an exciting game! Is anyone else as excited for the future of our WR corps with guys like McClung (So.) and Chism (Fr.) as I am? Chism looks like the real deal. With the young guys in the back field and the young guys out wide, we will be set at the skill positions for years to come. If one of the QBs on the roster can take the reigns next year, I like where this team is headed. We are still young on defense and while we will lose some experienced guys like JK, the depth of this team continues to grow and guys are seemingly ready to step up. I am really excited for the future and the present. There is a long way to go, but if UC is able to win the Big East this year, that will be 3 out of 4 years for this senior class. They could go down as the best class to ever come through UC.

I think Chism is emerging as the deep threat we've been lacking. Say what you want about DJ, but taking him out of the slot isn't suited to his strengths and he's not the jump up and get it type of receiver we need. Chism could be a little taller, but he seems like he can when a jump ball when needed. Thought it interesting they were using the TE Kelci for that today. Whatever works I guess. But I do agree that I love the tandem of McClung and Chism.

I think they were trying to get Kelce isolated on either a line backer or safety figuring that neither one had the ball skills to compete on a play like that.

On Chism I gotta say that touchdown grab was a major league catch. He out jumped the corner and attacked the ball with both hands. That was a big time catch. Too many times you see recivers let the ball come to them but Chism has great hands and in a couple years maybe even next year will be a top reciever in the Big East if not in the country.
Again on Callaros he had two of the most pathetic throws I have ever seen and for us to win big games like west virginia, pitt and a bowl he needs to take a sack or throw the ball out of bounds. As i say that I gotta sayfor some reason i had full confidence in him in that last 1:30. The second half he played was as well as you will see any qb play.
