As The Ralph stated all along UC will stay in the Big East. UC and U of L are 100% committed to the Big East. Neither has interest in the Big 12.

Ralph, they may stay in the Big East, but the university's president himself has admitted talking to the Big 12.

Let's just say it's safe to assume that if UC stays in the Big East, it's because they didn't get an offer to join the Big12. Simple as that.

No, it is because UC and U of L realize that the Big East is the best conference for both to be in. The Big East has two very valuable assets, BCS auto qualifier and Madison Square Garden for basketball tourney.

Per Mike DeCourcy:

Louisville recognizes what the others have refused to see: that no one in the league—and no one departing, for that matter—has a better athletic future in any other league. The Big East association works for every football-playing member, and it works for the BCS because the league covers a large chunk of the nation’s population at a minimal cost—one measly bid to the least consequential major bowl.

UC and Louisville will turn down invitations to the Big 12 and stay in the Big East.

Ralph, once again you miss the point. No one is saying UC or UL WANTS to leave the Big East. The fact is IF the Big East fails to maintain its relevance as a football league, UC and UL will HAVE TO look elsewhere. UC and UL are going to look at all their options and will make the decision that is best for their university. If that is to leave the Big East, they will leave. If they feel it is in their best interest to stay, they will stay. There are no absolutes at this time. Everything is still negotiable and on the table for discussion.

You're wrong. I just don't see a school saying no to a chance of getting an upgrade in football. You said it yourself Ralph, it's all about football, and if you can get into a better football conference, you do it. Imagine getting home games of Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State. Or, they can still pin their hopes on Pitt/WVU fans traveling to Paul Brown in order to sell some more tickets.

I really believe that if UC would turn down the Big12, it's because they don't see themselves as a football school, and are content at where they are at in the college football world today.

I dont think UC sees themselves as a football school.

I really dont believe they would turn down the Big XII though. If U of L, Cincy, and WVU go to Big XII it becomes the 2nd best basketball conference and could turn into the best.

U of L and UC going to the Big 12 would be a last ditch desperation move by both. It would mean there is no longer a Big East. Both are 100% committed to the Big East and have no desire to go anywhere else.

The Big East started strictly as a basketball conference. I believe it is time for them to go back to that. Both UC & UL are 100% committed to the Big East as long as it is viable. Ralph always seem to leave that out. No idea why.

Ya except UC has admitted having talks with the B12. Sounds 100 percent to me you baboon. Once again you prove yourself as the most idiotic poster in the states history. Banning you from sight after sight isnt enough. Internet providers around the world should deny you access.

Hey Ralph, we get it. You don't think UC is going to the Big12, that's great man! Good for you!

It is not just me it is also the Presidents of UC, UofL, and other Big East Presidents who are determined to keep the Big East as a viable BCS Conference.

No one at UC to my knowledge has admitted to having talks with the Big 12 about UC joining the Big 12. There may have been some talks about a Big 12/Big East merger if Texas, Oklahoma, Okla. State, and Texas Tech went to the PAC 12 but as we all know that did not happen. UC President Williams and interim AD Arkelpane have always stated that the Big East is the best place for UC and they will do all they can to keep UC in the Big East.

It is you TLL who once again simply does not get it and looks like the baboon.

Its just you Ralpy. And heres the problem with that.... last time you "thought" something, you said UC would have John Reik and a National Championship to go along with that.

You continue to be clueless about all things UC.

Me Clueless? No no Ralphy whats clueless is telling bearcatnews that John Riek would be a bearcat and that he would bring us a national championship. Im still waiting.

While you where over there being clueless I was informing bearcatnews that Lance Stephenson would be a bearcat... a month before anyone else.

You have zero insider information. You never have. You never will.

I trust Ralph's expert opinion over anyone elses on this board. In fact Mick Cronin himself stated that Cincinnati will never leave the Big East.
