Watch a UK game fellas, they are much worse than the media would lead you to believe. Their ranking is completely based off hype and i have no doubt out three seniors would dominate those freshmen.

Updated Lunardi bracket. Cats at a 4 seed (the bracket matrix has the same seed). The American holds steady with 5 overall in the field. He has the Pac 12 with 7 teams in the field. I haven't seen much of that conference but their numbers must be good.

Tough game in round 2 with UNC. They are a team I feel could make a surprise run. At least this would give Cincy a shot at revenge for '93 elite 8 OT loss.

I know it's all projections, but I don't really get these regions. Which would you rather?

MW
1. Wichita St
2. Villanova
3. Virginia
4. Mich St
5. Louisville

South
1. FLA
2. Duke
3. Iowa St
4. Cincy
5. UNC

East
1. Kansas
2. Cuse
3. Mich
4. SLU
5. UCLA

West
1. Arizona
2. Wisc
3. Creighton
4. SD st
5. Okla

Doesn't matter to me. You're going to have to win tough games to win a national championship.

New Bracket Matrix is up. They are using more recent brackets as opposed to previous weeks (latest date out is 3/2). UC is a 4 seed. x is an 11 seed. most of the 12-16 seeds are held by conference tourney winners from the smaller conferences, they are right on the bubble.

Linardi lists Cincinnati as #12 on his S curve; the last 3 seed following Michigan, Syracuse, and Creighton respectively. Take care of business today and I see our seeding playing out like this:

Lose in quarters or semis: 4 seed
Lose in finals: 3 seed
Win AAC tourney: 2 seed possibly still a 3 depending how the other projected 2 and 3 seeds play

I would agree with all that. Good breakdown.

Villanova has to be the least talked about 27-3 team of all-time. They could end up with a one seed and the only games I've seen them play were a blowout against Syracuse and two blowouts against Creighton.

I think they're the most overrated team in college basketball. I've seen them 5times. I was actually hoping if they got a 1 and us a 4 that we'd have their bracket.

This. They shoot 45.5 % of their overall shots from behind the arc but only have 2 good 3 point shooters. 36% as a team isn't bad, but Creighton shoots 42% as a team from 3 and they take 44.2 % of their shots from beyond the arc.

Creighton has 5 guys that shoot the 3 40% or better. Nova has 1.

I just can't trust Nova with an offense like that.

Lindardi's latest: 4 seed in the Indianapolis region, starting in Orlando, playing Iona, Michigan State (this would be horrible), and Wichita State.

This means nothing, save for coincidence, but the 1992 Final Four run UC was a 4 seed and beat the 5 seed Mich St in round 2. I believe MSU even beat UC earlier that season on a last second put back.

Out of all the 4 seeds, that is easily the worst draw. I hope we really don't get screwed with the match ups.

Fair or not the committee tries to find attractive draws for TV, so I'm expecting us to see a high octane offense or a regionally interesting team in round 2 and 3. That could be UK, MSU or OSU.

I don't think playing MSU would be terrible. I've seen several of their games and I think most of this is based solely on fear of their coach.
