Once the games start I’ll give CJB all the support and a chance to succeed before judging any more.

But until then, I’m going to compare him to mick because I was promised that we could do so much better, that mick recruited duds and so on. So my expectations are through the damn roof, so I’m holding Brannen to them

After a month? Ok. Right now, what 5 stars do you want him to get? Who is left for 2019 that he could get to make you happy?there is no one and you know it.

Justin and Skyblade are getting run out of multiple boards while they create multiple accounts, which is what I'm sure what they are doing here.

I was never even a Mick hater. I would have been okay had he stuck around. But I'm also not going to pretend that he was kicking ass and taking names. If Brannen doesn't live up to the same expectations then I would expect the same treatment. Ripping on a guy for not bringing in a great staff (Morris looks great to me, I like the analytics aspect that Dwyer brings, I really have no idea about Gee but he can't be worse then Larry Davis and Savino) and not bringing in 5* recruits in his first month here is beyond ridiculous.

Should we not compare the new coaching staff with the old one we were told sucks at recruiting? Should we not expect better?

You should compare, and you should expect better than Mick. But maybe not after the first month. Can't believe I have to explain this to you folks.

But like I said, Brannen's first and only recruit has a better shooting form than anyone in of Mick's 13 years of recruits. Seriously, can't think of anyone under Mick that had pure form. Davenport's looks pretty damn good. Will that translate? We shall see.

I agree. I always liked mick. If anyone says he isn’t a good coach, they are crazy. But I do think his act go old in recent years. And not winning in March didn’t help. If he stayed, great, if he left, ok let’s see what we can do.

Sorry if I’m upset we just watched a nationally predicted top 15 roster get squandered and replaced with local guys that Brannnen recruited at NKU


Had Brannen landed Pettway, I would have been pretty damn excited. But he whiffed, and then 3 weeks later he brings in the horizon league staff basically. He whiffed on a jucu guy that could Have helped, and a grad transfer.


I watched Xavier get a new coach and then proceed to get Jonas Hayes and Ben Johnson and now have one of the recruiting classes in the country. He stole dudes away from the P5. Meanwhile we’re just giving guys life changing raises and just hoping they can recruit but have never ever proved it.


Don’t act like things are going to plan.

None of this is true. No one expects 5 stars and national championships and elite 8s. Not one person expects this. You are making things up and making yourself sound dumb. I have heard people say they expect more. Maybe 2 4 stars sometimes. Top 150 guys. More than 1 sweet 16 in 15 years. These are the things I have read on this board. Voice your concerns. We all do it. Some of it is fair, but not everything is the end of the world. Also, give it time before you start jumping off a bridge. You have literally hated everything. No one will listen to you if you just hate everything.

Xavier hired their assistant who was already recruiting high major guys to their school. You could have possibly made the argument that if UC hired Savino that they would have gotten some high major immediate recruits but the problem is they were never recruiting them to begin with. Also, if Xavier can pull in these top recruiting classes, why weren't you more upset that Mick couldn't?

I didn't expect Brannen to immediately bring in 5* recruits. Maybe if UC would have went with an assistant at a elite school, but I preferred someone like Brannen who has proven he can coach.

This is pretty much the plan that I envisioned. They are already recruiting more fundamentally sounds ball players.

There is also a large gap between bashing someone and saying they should do better. Saying you want more than one sweet 16 in 15 years isn’t bashing.
