Butler

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the last play of the game. The play was right in front of me, Once the Butler guy got control of the ball at the top of the key, he started to go right with the dribble and mid-dribble changed his mind and totally palmed/carried the ball back to his left (palming/traveling---no call), then picks up his dribble between the foul line and the 3-pt. arc, and never dribbles again, 3 huge steps all the way to the basket (traveling---no call), and then he drops his right shoulder right into Clarks chest knocking Clark from the left block completely across the lane (offensive foul---no call). Who was 5 feet away with an absolutely perfect view of all 3 things.....the piece of s#/t white ref! Watch the replay. You'll see it all.

Yea, but I have no idea how ellis didnt get that ball. punch the ball away and it goes right to Troy.

Which side were you on?

I'm assuming the officials were from the big least! In my opinion they sucked
big time. End of game should have been a walk & then the phantom foul on
Ellis for a push under their basket. The replay should no foul at all.
Great game, great atmosphere & our guys played hard. Just can't win when
there is 8 on 5! :(

The crowd was booing enough already. The refs knew it was a bad call. He gave them 2 points AND the ball back in addition to their free throws. Instead of it being 2 points, he gave them the chance for 6.

Fairly certain you don't get the ball back on technicals.

Why are you not saying the exact same thing about Caupain. At the 6:09 mark, Troy makes the front end of 2 free throws to give us a 5 pt. lead. He misses the 2nd. Shortly thereafter he is guarding Dunham and gets faked out of his shoes and Dunham drains the wide open 3. The next time down the court with Dunham with the ball Troy is laying back off of him and someone sets a screen and Troy goes around the back leaving Dunham wide open again and he drills a second 3 giving Butler their first lead in a long time. Shortly thereafter Troy commits another foul trying to block a shot and they hit one. In those two and a half crucial minutes, it was Troy's defense that cost us big. I've seen comments that he was tired, which I wasn't noticing at the game, but if it was apparent on TV, then not giving him a rest might have lost us the game.

Stop stalking me bro. At that same point in game I begged for troy come out game. Before all that happened I said leaving troy in go cost us game. Troy defense gave up 8pts quick.

To add, the white ref was the only ref who made those terrible phantom calls etc. He def had something against UC or he just clearly lacks any kind of skill.
Black refs were bogus too. Felt like when I used to play Moeller or X in high school

He did knock it away I believe. Clumsy Shaq and flat footed Clark couldn't make play on ball. Troy was no where near play

I can't say we played hard.

youre right just rewatched that play. I thought troy was at half court. But good god that was an obvious travel and palm

Man up at that moment. Can't blame ref for not calling traveling. We had 3 on 1 inexcusable pass even got through

Chad, ask Mick why Shaq wasn't guarding the ball on last play. Butler guards slower than troy no way they can go full court with 4 sec

then why have rules in the first place? It should have never come down to it to begin with, you have to guard that better I agree. But if you are being paid a lot of money to know the rules of basketball and make calls, shouldnt you atleast make the calls when they need to be made

Stalking you? I was responding to someone else bro. In fact, I think my post actually supported your repeated calling for Troy to be rested. Your welcome bro!

Didn't see players or coaches making big deal out of it. I get what your saying but he didn't blatantly travel

Honestly, I didnt notice it during the game. I just watched the replay after I said Ellis should have punched the ball. The 3 steps was actually pretty blatant if you watch it again

Welcome to Bulldogtalk.com

Well done, sir. Well done.

Has anyone ever met this Bulldog guy? If so, does he have any redeeming qualities? I swear every time I go through game threads I end up wanting to throw my lap off a building because of this dude.

I guess he's here to stay though. Mods, could we maybe limit his posts per day or something. I figure I can handle maybe 5 bullsh*t, err, I mean, bulldog posts per day. That's my vote.

Bro, it was blatant. I saw it up close. Was ready to rush the floor and attack the ref. Got home and watched the replay to confirm. Again, it was blatant there as well. Clark had it defended pretty well, but the guy lowered his shoulder and cleared Clark right out of the picture. That was pretty blatant as well. From my angle on the court, that was easier to see than the traveling because you could actually tell he intentionally did it to gain some space.
