Perfect article for all you contributors who think he should be the starting PG. He will be..........eventually. What the kid has is a great perception of his role and what he has to do to improve, and I like that. Attitude!Great article. I have been really impressed with Caupain so far. It will be fun watching him throughout his career here. He has every opportunity to be a great great pg here.
You can see the leadership abilities in him along with the obvious basketball talent. I have a feeling he will be a good one. As I have said time and time again, I really like the young nucleus of the team. Johnson, Caupain, Lawrence, Morman, and Thomas coupled with the '14 class has me quite excited for the future.
Yup, I'm sure we will have a few duds like we always do, but I think that these two classes will be a huge improvement over our current Junior class.

Go Cats!
Thanks for posting Jeff. I was skeptical with Caupain, but he has really made me a believer. I was totally wrong in assessing his impact. I wish he was a little quicker, but he seems to be sneaky quick and still gets where he needs to be. I can't tell you how exciting it is to see a group of freshmen who can shoot free throws. Just think back through the years at how many games we've lost because of free throw shooting. This group, and especially Caupain, might finally reverse that trend! Great article!
It's really nice to know that out of our freshmen, so far, the player performing the best and seems to have the best head on his shoulders is going to be our floor general for the next 4 years. Provided we don't nab someone even better...even then there would be no reason he wouldn't still be on the floor.
I can imagine a time when SK is gone and more of the load and responsibilty is put on his shoulders what type of player he could turn into. When he and the other underclassmen and incoming recruits are told it's their team...time to show us what you really got. He does have weaknesses he can work on in the offseason such as dribbling lower and getting more muscular so he can be more athletic. His outside shot seems to fall even with strange footwork.
It's also almost reassuring to know that KJ is probably playing a bit better than our most touted recruit. Imagine when Lawrence puts it all together just how good these kids can/will be. I am just happy Lawrence plays his arse off right now...the rest will come.
