I know this is a bearcat board but I also follow the reds closely and the Reds and going to announce in next day that Brandon Phillips and homer bailey were traded to Dodgers for Matt Kemp so what you guys think?
 
It's not out yet you heard it hear first check all the sites you want but within the next day and you hear of this trade just remember where you heard it first. I don't mean to be rude but I just can't say at this time I was just wondering what everyone thought of Kemp as are # 4 hitter between Votto and Bruce pretty scary.

If the Dodgers make that trade they are retarded. A declining aging overpaid second baseman and a starting pitcher that they only control for one year for a potential MVP candidate (Yes I know he has injury problems) is just dumb. Also the Reds are taking on the Kemp contract? Cant see that happening. Would love this if it is true but logic says this is just a rumor that has some crazy legs. I guess crazier things have happened but I cant imagine the Dodgers would be this stupid.

So let me get this straight. The Dodgers are going to pay the 50 million dollars for Brandon Phillips and then send A large portion of the 120 million that is owed to Matt Kemp? All of this after they just signed the top international free agent who happens to play second base? Like I said crazier things have happened but the logic and the numbers dont seem to add up from either side.

I didn't say large portion of the money that is still being worked out there will be money sent to reds how much is not known yet. I don't know what Dodgers plans are with the Guerrero kid is. Also the Dodgers may feel that they can extend Bailey he has always wanted to be on west coast so now that he's there why not sign ext. deal.

Haha so the Dodgers are now paying for Phillips, a large portion of Kemp, Guerrero, and now are going to extend Bailey? I know they have a lot of money but now we are entering video game territory. Guerrero just signed a 4 year deal. Phillips has 5 left on his contract. No guarantee to sign Bailey even if they wanted to allocate 100 Million to him. Seems like a ton of problems to have and their reward is to give up their all star centerfielder and pay a large portion of his contract in the process. If I can figure this out so can the Dodgers front office. We will have raped them if this is true, and I dont think they would allow that to happen. I know you are getting your information from the "Reds mole" but this one is way out there.

Maybe they are still talking with the Yankees about Garner, doesn't mean a deal with the Dodgers is imminent. I would believe a trade to the Yankees, but a trade for Kemp seems far-fetched .
 
No one said a large portion of Kemp money is coming here we said money not large portion and he not a mole he is the real deal you will see when this breaks tomorrow. Also there is 4 years and 50 million left on Phillips deal.

The deal with the yanks is not going to happen they want Phillips and bailey for Gardner that's crazy talk

Sorry I was off by a year but I got the 50 million right which is the important number.
