Who know what dodgers will do after the trade they could trade Guerrero or Ramirez but this makes perfect since for reds.

Only if the Dodgers eat a sizable portion of the Kemp deal. With his injury history the Reds cant afford to pay over 100 Million to another player with Votto already on the books and so many of the young players do a significant raise in the upcoming years. Guerrero has played in 0 major and minor league games. His trade value is minimal. Once again makes no sense at all from the Dodgers point of view and only makes sense for the reds if the Dodgers take on a huge portion of Kemp's contract.

The Reds have been trying to trade Phillips to sign Choo for 100 million so if you trade Phillips 50 million and trade Bailey who was inline to get a 100 million ext. then you look at Kemp's 100 million and Dodgers will eat 30 to 40 of it I guess Kemp don't look to bad after all and Arroyo will be resigned to take Baileys spot.

The Reds blew the situation by making so desperately known that they want to trade Phillips, basically lost ALL leverage by doing this.

Are they interested in Choo? If I had to choose one, I would take him over Phillips.

So Bearcatboy you are the @seeheartell from Twitter huh? Count me in the group that would be stunned if this were true but i'll give you credit if it is.

If they traded Phillips, the chances for Choo coming back increase.

Bearcat boy, I think this one has been kicked around. I think Bailey getting traded is a no brainer as well especially if they can't resign him. Also think that is why they are negotiating with Bronson. Phillips is history here as well. It's only a matter of finding the best deal. You don't insult the hand that feeds you. Bob C wants him gone. The dodgers want to move Kemp who has burned his bridges in Dodger clubhouse. As strange as it may sound this could happen.

Okay here's the deal the Dodgers will receive Phillips and Bailey and are working on ext. Bailey right now and the Reds will get Kemp and 18 million from Dodgers to cover some of Kemp 100 million. Will be official and announced by 8pm.

If this were to happen then the rotation would be Cueto, Latos, Leake, Cingrani and who else?

This is the most asinine thing I've ever heard. In no way would this deal make sense, the Reds are trying to move Phillips to free up money so why would they take on another huge contract in Matt Kemp? Not to mention that this would be a terrible deal for the Reds. You never give up quality pitching for a position player, especially one that has the injury history that Kemp does. Ask the Angels how loading up on position players has worked out for them lately. Walt is too smart for this, he understands that trades aren't about making a splash or winning the press conference but actually making your team better. Especially in a small market situation where you have to be careful how you spend your money. That's why he makes moves like the Latos trade where you can get a quality guy who's affordable in the near term.

You're also not taking into account that the Dodgers spent quite a bit of money this offseason to sign Cuban second baseman Alexander Guererro, so why would it make sense for them to spend 30 million on a 2nd baseman and then go out and trade for Phillips? Do people actually stop to think before they make up preposterous rumors like this?

Again I repeat, this makes zero sense. You may think you have a great source but unless your info is coming from Walt himself then it's false. This would be the worst trade in the history of trades.

Here's where the rumors are coming from...

Either Bearcatboy is trying to pass off this guys tweets as his "source" or he is the one behind that twitter account.

Either way I think it is all being made up.

If it does happen it'll still be a terrible trade. You have to understand that what you're saying is completely preposterous. You're asking people to believe a twitter rumor that makes no sense. No one else who is actually qualified to report on these types of matters has mentioned anything related to this trade.

If you happen to be right then you must have the ear of Walt himself, and if that's the case then kudos to you. It'll still be a terrible trade. So if you do have the ear of someone important within the organization please tell them to kill this deal.

Let me ask you this why do you think we want to trade Phillips? It is to free up money to sign Choo to a 100 million dollar contract so instead of Choo Walt thought kemp can hit just as many hr and get as many RBI as Choo in gabp and the dodgers are giving us money in return to use on Infante to play 2nd base.

Mark my words: Within the next 24 hours that twitter account and/or Bearcatboy will be explaining why the deal fell apart at the last moment.
