They will definitely pass UMass and I think they pass Iowa to get to #13. I could possibly see 12. I agree that UC is probably isn't that good but it does give the Cats some cushion to remain in the top 20 should they lose to UofL.

I don't know where UC truly is in the grand scheme, but this I know. They keep facing adversity and overcoming it with heart, pulling together and effort. And oh btw, they have 17 assist in each of the last two games. I think people are selling this team short. Not because I think they are the most talented team. But because they have the intangibles of a winner.

I wouldn't be shocked if Michigan ends up ranked ahead of us and rightfully so. They beat two Top 10 teams this week and have now won three straight games against #3, #10, and #3. I didn't think they'd be this good WITH McGary.

I'm tired of being pessimistic. I am drinking the Kool-Aid on this one. I think this team is a fringe top ten team, and I think being ranked around that range is appropriate.

Really proud of the lunch pail mentality this team has. They could have folded today. I think they are a top 10 team assuming JJ is back and JL come back soon

They should be based on what they've done the past two weeks. I think UC jumps one of Iowa and Wisconsin, but they could jump both of them but Michigan should probably be sandwiched between UKKK (if not ahead) and UC. I Either way, the game on Thursday will be between two top 15 team (UofL gets to #10 IMO).

To the haterz out there, if UC had Lawrence healthy...I think they are a top 20 team for sure. Without him it is really tough since he's missed valuable court time to improve. Hoping he'll be back this season.

EDIT: 1. Ariz 2. Syr 3. Fla 4. Kan 5. Wich St 6. Mich 7. Mich St 8. Iowa 9. SDSU 10. Ok St 11. Kent 12. Nova 13. Cincy 14. Wisc 15. Okl 16. Mem

Seth Davis votes UC at #13 for the second straight week and also boosts Michigan up to #6.

Andy Glockner is messing with the Cats this year!

Looking at @SethDavisHoops' AP poll (because: self-loathe), it made me want to say that people need to be talking more about Cincinnati.

The Bearcats seem to be the totally ignored crazy-good story of the season right now.

Blah blah weak nonconf schedule blah blah blah THEY'RE 19-2 WITH SEAN KILPATRICK AND A BUNCH OF GUYS. Seriously, this is nuts.

Glockner is definitely praising the Cats this year. It seems strange since he ripped our tournament resume over the last few years when we were clearly a tournament team. I love his coverage, nonetheless. I'm sure JJ has seen the "bunch of guys" tweet by now. I wonder if Glockner meant that as motivation since he's on the bandwagon? :D

Glockner was at the tryouts for team USA for the World University games. He came away extremely impressed with SK, both the player and the person. So its no surprise that he is praising him as the lead dog. And it isn't undeserved. With the exception of the Temple game, where the offense was really, really good, we have been a team that struggles offensively and really relies on SK to even be mediocre. He takes over 30% of the team's shots when he is on the floor and still posts an O-Rating of 123, which is really, really good.

Having said that, unless you watch UC a lot I'm not sure you can really understand how good JJ has been this year, especially considering how bad he was last year. You can look at the stats and see a great block rate, steal rate, offensive rebound rate and solid defensive rebound rate. But you really have to watch the team to see just how big of an effect he has.

Hopefully he is back Thursday.

Hope the bunch of guys comment gets play in the locker room. Guys pick each other up as evidenced by yesterday's outcome.

Just a observation but lots of conversation about UC not producing NBA players. I think this squad has two who will play in the league someday. Caupain and Lawrence. Both need work physically but both have size and skills.

Caupain will probably be 6'5" PG with length, who handles well, shoots well and finds the open man. He'll be 20 at the start of his Jr. Year. Don't think he'll be here 4 years. He will be crazy good next year.

Lawrence has plenty of skills. He has length and size. He handles the ball very well for a big man and will make a huge jump in production next year. Probably gone as well after jr. Year.

Both these kids will play in the league.

If we can finish out the season ranked where we are right now around 15 I would be pretty happy. I would like a 4 seed or higher in the tourney.

With the meat of the schedule coming up we have to hold our ground with the bottom teams and win 3 of the big 6 games left.

There are three teams that lost in front of us. I expect to be a top 10 team on Monday as long as we win our next game. We should move up big in the coaches as well.

Yep. In the AP Poll #8 OSU lost (to #23 Oklahoma), #11 Kentucky lost (to LSU), #12 Louisville lost (to #13 UC).

Barring no other major upsets, I expect Cincinnati to be #10 in the AP Poll.

In the Coaches Poll #13 Wisconsin lost, #12 Iowa lost, #11 Kentucky lost, #10 Oklahoma State lost and #7 Louisville lost.

Barring no other major upsets, I expect Cincinnati to be #9/#10 in that poll.

Five teams ahead of us have now lost in the last week, and #10 Michigan plays in Bloomington tomorrow. We should definitely pass #8 Oklahoma State, #11 Kentucky, and #12 Louisville. That will put us at #10. It will be interesting to see how far #6 Kansas and #7 Michigan State fall on Monday. If Michigan lost tomorrow, theoretically UC could go all the way up to #7.

Its too bad Memphis will fall out, but UCONN will be back in setting up a top 25 matchup at the Shoe on Thursday.

We beat the number 12 team in country at there place as a 9 point underdog and like you said number

6 Kansas- lost
7 Michigan State- lost
8 Oklahoma State- lost
11 Kentucky- lost early in week
12 Louisville- lost

So I think we should be no higher that 9th.

Kansas wasn't even close to winning against texas, mich state is the only team I see that can still stay in front of us, I think we will be at #9 in next weeks AP poll/ with a win vs usf of course

Michigan looks like they're going down, Indiana up 8 with a minute to play. Cats could be #7 tomorrow.

IMO we will be 8 or 9

I cant see how we wont be 7. #6 Kansas got embarrassed, we will be ahead of them. #7 MSU lost to a nine loss georgetown team. if we are 8 or 9 that means those two teams did not drop at all, i cant see that happening
