Hopefully we get in sync on defense and get some easy baskets. We should run away with this one and get a lot of minutes to whoever Mick thinks could use them the most. I kind of hope it's like the Bahamas game where Morman, Clark, and Moore got some quality time.

Fairmont is picked to finish 2nd in the Mountain East, behind national #1 West Liberty. Cronin says they are more athletic than Bellarmine (ranked #10 preseason DII). He also stated that he does NOT want to see a blowout. As he stated, you don't benefit from that kind of game....might as well just scrimmage yourself, it's worthless. You don't get better playing weak teams who don't challenge you. While I, of course want to see the Cats shine, from what Mick says, I don't expect Fairmont to just roll over, and really hope they don't.

This summer they played a few games. All were pretty high scoring (120-113 in one of them). I doubt they will be able to handle scoring a bunch in a halfcourt style against our length and depth. I hope we score just fine and have a better game defensively.

Mick will keep the game close on purpose.

yeah, was that Morman who threw up those 2 incredible bricks earlier? The one that almost got wedged between rim and backboard?

The one as Chuck said "hit the crotch?"? Haha that was Morman. 9 turnovers, 6-12 free throws wont cut it against anyone. Fairmont State shooting around 50% too. Terrible half.

Maybe someone can explain this to me. Mick wants to play good teams in exhibition so it isn't like a scrimmage...but then he is asked what Fairmont State does and he says "I have no idea". So isn't sending your players out there without a game plan pretty much a scrimmage? I'm a little confused about our approach to exhibition games. With 7 new guys, I understand testing them to see how they respond. But if you are purposely playing better competition, then why not gameplan a little so those new guys have specific assignments and a better idea of what preparing for a real game is actually like?

Quandri Moore plays very lazy on the defensive end. Will not see much playing time if that continues.

Shaq cannot miss both free theows.

Edit: This half though he looks like the guy we were hoping for. Aggressive.

Free throws......woof. very poor shooting. Least Shaq is being aggressive. I would like to see our offense play at a much faster pace.
