Gary Clark has a chance to be a special player. He also seems like the kind of kid willing to put the work in to get there. He will be a beast next season and if he adds a mid -range jumper look out.

He seems like he would be similar to SK in his work ethic. From all accounts, he is driven and wants to be great. If he can add some muscle to help himself fight with all of those other big guys down low and add a nice mid-range jumper, he will be special.

I'd like to see him improve on his free throw shooting a bit as well. I think that could make him a lot more dangerous.

Gary is a long way from being a beast. His offensive game lacks a lot and he needs to put in a lot of work in that area. What he is a beast at is his basketball IQ, his unselfishness, and being a team player. He is really strong in those three areas and seems to have a great head on his shoulders. Hopefully, he has the work ethic to match. I think he'll eventually be a beast on the court, but I'm not sure if next year will be the year. But, I think he'll be a very good all-around player next year. I don't want him to be a beast too quickly. I would like to be able to watch him here for at least another couple years...if not all three of his remaining years.

Clark is very solid offensively he is our best offensive rebounder. Yes I would like to see him get a mid range jumper but I don't want him to rely on that, he's very good with his back to the basket. He's actually got great handles for a big guy and his footwork is tremendous (never travels) I hope he doesn't concentrate to much on the outside game and continues to back people down into the paint like he successfully did this season.

Clark's back to the basket game and IQ for a young guy are what make me think he can boost his assist numbers and be 2nd on the team there next year. I agree we don't want him to get ahead of himself, he still has a lot of work to do with his repertoire in the post. I like the thought of him working on a turnaround jumper and face up/pull up short jumper from the post. And then maybe his JR we'll start to see the that game really combine with the high level stuff we've seen glimpses of in the open court. And hopefully with each passing year, he'll be able to get started a little farther out in the half court when looking to score as a top option right from the catch.

Why not? Who would you say?

Why not? Because Green can shoot and shoots very well. Shoots threes very well too, something Clark does not do at all. Plus Green is a SF. I would compare him to a Tyson Chandler in PF form, great athlete, good shot blocker, great with rebounds offensively and defensively, good on D all the way around, and not many great post moves and not a great shooter from mid range but can still hit a jumpshot every once and awhile if he's set and not greatly contested and can still find ways to score around the rim and get dunks. Also, Chandler for his NBA career is a 64% free throw shooter, but shot 75% last year. Gary Clark is a 62% Career free throw shooter, even though he only has one year down in his College Career.

Comparing Clark to Green RIGHT NOW is apples and oranges. Green was a PF in college (he also STILL plays the 5 for GS sometimes when they go small). When Green was a FR he was 0-1 from 3 and he was 2-16 from 3 as a SO. Also 67% FT as a SO. The young Michigan State version of Green is much different than what he is now.

Also, Tyson Chandler is 7'1". There's no such thing in the NBA as a PF version of him bc you can only lack true offensive skill in the NBA if you're a 7 footer.
