I know it sucks and this year is going to be a dud but Brannen deserves 2 more years. The cupboard was barely filled and we have massive gaps, especially quality big men who have developed. Disappointing though.

Let’s see something encouraging at least.

Eason looks like the real deal and there is some bright spots in almost all the underclassmen that have gotten time. Agreed though, I’d like to see some changes in the lineups.

We are about to be 2-4, with losses to Georgia and USF. I’m not saying fire the guy now but be better than this.

I expected bad this year, I am willing to accept bad if I see improvement and effort. But this is not just bad, this is a team that just doesn't care. There's no effort, no toughness, no intensity.

Not to rehash old arguments, but Brannen got the bigs he wanted. Yeah they are transfers, but he loves Vogt, he went after Rap hard. He needs to learn and learn quickly what doesn't work.

There also isn't much in the way of development. Keith looks worse this year, Harvey looks worse, MAW isn't any better.

I'm not ready to fire Brannen yet, but a lot needs to change quickly.

I expect improvement as well and am an optimist so hard for me to get down on a Bearcats team.

Anyway, we will never really know if this is the bigs he wanted. IMO just kinda necessary with the time and circumstances. Who else do you get?

I’m with you except for, “these are the bigs he wanted”. No it’s not. It’s really hard to get good bigs. Especially in the aac. He got the job in April and had to get a body. That’s why Vogt is here. He tried to get other bigs last year and didn’t get them.

He may not have gotten exactly who he wanted, but between Vogt, Sorolla, Rap and Lakhin there is a trend of getting big slow non-athletes and prioritizing offensive ability over defense/rebound. Diarra he barely gave minutes, Nsoseme he couldn't keep (or didn't want to), Hardnett he forced out.

Diarra had chances. He should have done more with those chances. As for hardnett, you had to take a top 50 guy over him. That’s not even a debate. There is some worrisome trends that I agree with but I don’t think these are the guys he wants. We saw how hard it was for cronin to get bigs. It’s hard.

Rap has done worse and gotten a lot more chances. Rap had consecutive 5+ TO games, where he still played 20+ minutes and now was back in the starting line-up tonight.

It is hard to get bigs, but Brannen needs to get them. It's why I haven't been all that excited about his recruiting yet, he has gotten one quality big. Going in to year 3 of Brannen and he has one quality big on the roster and none recruited for 2021.

Well at this point, there isn’t many options. I’d still sit him though. The 1st year, I can’t really fault him. Like I said, he was hired in April. If you are a decent player, you are committed by then. Can’t really blame him for not bringing in great players the first year. So he’s had 1 year in my book. But your right, he’s job is to get players. However He did get Eason. That looks like a good big in the limited time he’s been here.

Finished the game losing by 15, it wasn't really a second half comeback though. We were down by 26 late when Georgia put in their scrubs and our starters made a little run in junk time to make the score look a bit more respectable.

The second half was not as bad as the first, but we didn't look all that good in it either. Georgia just got comfortable and complacent.
