And how many time did Jarron do this last year. Simple but very telling question. You think your best players confidence has nothing to do with his coach?

Why was Jarron back to being Jarron in January then? All the sudden he lost confidence in the coach, when he was playing his best ball?

Guess we’ll see. He wasn’t bringing much in in the big east so I guess he better hope UCLA can draw even with his shit style.

He’s probably gonna end up with another top ten guy, maybe two and probably two more top 100 at the least, already signed the 47th ranked player from the following year too. He’s gonna have zero issues getting multiple top 100 guys every season, and probably a the bare minimum a top 20 guy or two every year. CA is a hotbed for cbb recruiting and he’s at the best school in that state, maybe in the country. And not sure why people think kids are scared to play for that. They’re already excellent offensive players, think it’s gonna hurt their draft stock to become elite defenders too. Not too mention mick will have better assistants there.

My only issue with Mick was his recruiting, and a lot of things go into that. He’s an excellent coach. UCLA will be the west coast Virginia, plain and simple.

Far from an excellent coach.

Far from an excellent coach.

I do think he’s one of, if not the best defensive coach in the country. He was switching everything before anyone even considered it. His match up zone was a work in progress though. Shouldn’t have relayed on that as much as he did.

Agree with the recruiting part. I think it’s what held him back from being elite. Always felt like we could have been getting multiple top 100 guys, instead of just 1 every couple years. I feel like he just got sick of losing Guys to big programs.

Let’s talk about this.. big east years..
2006: 3 top 100 recruits, #’s 8, 47 and 99
2007: 2 top 100 #’s 67 and 73
2008: 3 top 100 #s 17, 22 and 63
2009: 1 top 100 #9
2010-2013: 3 more top 100 players.

After 2009 we lost our best recruiter and things went downhill. But he got plenty of good guys. He won’t have that fall off at UCLA, that history and all the great things about that school aren’t going anywhere

Is having Mills and Sasser an option? Pretty sure both of those guys were already signed when Brannen took the job. So I'm not sure what point you are making.

Do Mick's guys suck? I've been saying Jarron is hurt. You've been saying he isn't good enough to handle a new system.

Every player mick ever brought to UC was trash.

Mick ruined basketball as a sport. He invented the rock fight.

So any team with Cronin holdovers is going up be trash. Only he can coach them. They arent real players with out him.

5 years old. That’s you if someone disagrees with you.

At least make sense. Not even sure what your argument is.

Hard to make your case after what he is doing at UCLA.

That said... it wasn’t UC who needed to move on from mick. It’s absolutely clear as day that it was him who needed to ditch UC to grow. He dropped us, now all national media talks about him when he wins, he now can get into any living room in America including 5 stars and can be a real title contender. He can play whatever school he wants too.

Next year they are a title contender. Pretty insane In year 2 from
A bum from the west side.

It’s also clear as day that “UC’s” consecutive tourney streak is not UC’s at all. It’s mick Cronin’s and he packed it on the plane with him to Cali.

That said, I’m hoping John Brannen’s mid major experience helps to secure a bid via the conference tourney

Like micks mid major experience got him to uc... mick will get ran out of UCLA when he can’t deliver national championships.. they don’t have that mediocre mindset you possess. But if he does win it there I’ll take it all back.

I smell a bearcat talk basketball challenge.

I’ll meet you on any court. I’ve played basketball my whole life.

Which gym ?
You have to admit it’s weird that you went from saying” jarrons hurt, he’s hurt”, to “it’s the system” as soon as you realized him being hurt might explain the team struggling.
