Nice win tonight. Not much else to say. This is a team I would have expected to handle much easier a few months ago. Now....just happy to win. Long way to go to earn another NCAA trip. Cannot afford any more losses to questionable teams.

Well if he still plays 32 minutes when worn down, shooting 0-10, turning it over 3 times again, and we're up by double digits...then I don't think he's ever going to get rest.
was at the game. Saw a lot of TC,Cobb and KJ on the floor together. Seemed to get very good results. Having Shaq in the game at a wing is a waste. Opposition don't even guard him. Him and Evans in 33 minutes combined for 0 defensive rebounds. Got killed on the offensive glass and the officials were terrible. TC was aggressive in the lane but couldn't get anything to go down. KJ was a beast defensively. When we get points from 2 of our wing players and guard we can be tough. Clark had 6 assist tonight to go with a bunch of boards.

Shaq is pretty much worthless out there. Mick has made a mistake not cutting bait on him earlier in the year in favor of Evans. At least Evans has tremendous upside, Shaq has none. So now instead of Evans being primed for a late season run, he is getting little PT and little chance to improve. Shaq plays 20 minutes and has 0 points, 1 rebound, 2 turnovers, 1 steal. What does he do to earn PT? Seems like there is always one guy every year that Mick holds on to. Next year it will be KJ (yes, I know he had a decent game tonight).

it's people like you who are numb. you've numbed yourself. your expectations are unrealistic. there's plenty of buzz and excitement and the program makes progress every year on that front.

we just drew 10,000 for a game against a bad team during winter break at 3pm on a work day. practically every seat between 10k and capacity blows anyway.

this program is one of 11 in the country to make the tournament for the past 5 years. there's a sweet 16 run in there too with a team that had a realistic shot at going further, and last year's team played mostly competitive against an immensely talented kentucky team. we'll make it again this year, and there's the talent to make a run.

huggins, who some people still can't seem to get over, went to one sweet 16 in his last 9 years.

this is cincinnati. we're in a crappy conference with crappy facilities. because of this program, we are working on improving both.

you do not speak for some majority.

There's so much wrong with this post that I'm not going to waste time responding to all these points. I guarantee you that you definitely aren't speaking for the majority. We'll just watch how this all plays out. At this point, thats all we can do. If you're happy with the direction of this program, and our standing in college basketball, then you have pretty low expectations. Most of our fanbase wants and expects much more than this.

i think you'll see Shaq's minutes decrease going forward. Especially if Evans can pick it up defensively. Mick ran a lot of KJ ,Cobb and TC tonight. KJ was a monster defensively tonight. He forced at least two traveling calls with his quick reactions and also came up with a few boards. Shaq guards but that is about it. When he is on the wing his man is almost always the help defender.

Was Thomas hurt for a few minutes? I thought we went Caupain, Cobb, Johnson when Thomas got hurt and Evans fouled out. I don't know if that'll be a normal thing. Our rebounding took a hit with that lineup.

Troy just went 45% from 3s last game. 4/9. It's ok, people get cold. Hes our guy

You left out a small detail. He shot 35% for the whole game. He's been cold for the whole season. He may be the worst shooter on the team percentage-wise.

He's been letting all of the hate from the bearcattalk forum get in his head. Bulldog has his number and has been playing some lockdown D.

I'm glad Johnson had a good game tonight. We needed it. He needed it. He needs to keep it up now though. I'm a tad concerned he'll go back to his normal self but bc of this game he'll get the most minutes off the bench the rest of the way.

Lol, just a few plays away from being a top 10 team huh? You did notice that we didn't get a single top 25 vote this week didn't you? Not a single one. You did notice our RPI in the 80s didn't you? Great post!

What is he asking Troy to do? He said earlier Troy is one of the best PG's in the country. Obviously that isn't true but other than too much PT, what is he doing that every PG in the country isn't doing?
33rd best in the nation assist to turnover ratio
Also before this game, he upped his 3pt shooting to 36% in conference play.

KJ was a bright spot tonight. I said last week, he's a key to getting this season turned around. He's been disappointing most of the season, but if he gets his mojo back, he can really be a difference maker.

Evans is way too foul prone tho . Needs to learn to guard with out fouling

The other problem with that thinking is that at the end of the year odds are against all 3 of those teams to be in top 10 at end of year. Iowa St and Butler 1-3 in last 4 games
