I can't imagine anyone else getting such a free pass for such an awful game.

Man.. All this Troy hate. We should cut him. Let's do that. Then will win it all. Addition by subtraction, Troy is such a cancer.

Seriously though. The Troy haters are ridiculous. He was the only guy who could hit a shot last game and also wasn't Afraid to shoot again when he missed unlike Cobb

KJ was a bright spot tonight. I said last week, he's a key to getting this season turned around. He's been disappointing most of the season, but if he gets his mojo back, he can really be a difference maker.

I hope so.

Lol, just a few plays away from being a top 10 team huh? You did notice that we didn't get a single top 25 vote this week didn't you? Not a single one. You did notice our RPI in the 80s didn't you? Great post!

The rpi is bull shit. Kenpom has us in the low 30's and so does bpi

Oh ok but it's fine for you to hate on Cobb?

Troy is a 20-something percent 3 point shooter, and a mid-30s shooter over all. He needs to cut his volume way back. He's hurting the team at this point.

Why can't you admit it when he has a bad game? Why is he so untouchable? It is weird to me how some people take it personally when Caupain gets criticism, but won't hesitate to throw anyone else under the bus.

yes and let's ignore his past seasons because he clearly is just way worse at shooting the ball now.

much better to make judgments after statistical outliers.

i don't see where anyone has said he didn't have a bad game.

a few people seem to be taking the "sometimes players have shitty games" approach rather than the "fire caupain into the sun along with cronin and while we're at it we should be a kentucky/duke/kansas program" approach.

some variation is good.

Lol. Yes. You are representing both sides of it very fairly in this post.

You're the stat guy. You would know.

They are moving away from that metric and beginning to factor more in the qualitative metrics that rank how a team actually performs rather than just wins and losses. We are currently #36 in ESPN BPI, #31 in KenPom and #30 in the Sagarin Ratings.

Check this out if you are interested from March 2015 ---> RPI no longer important, NCAA tournament makes example of CSU

This one is from July ---> NCAA basketball tournament seeding changes will have impact

Ellis had tied for 2nd most minutes of the season tonight with 28. He averaged 28.7 last year, season high this year is 29. When he stays away from fouls, he can be quite good.

Lol, statistical outliers? It's 29.9% for the whole season. 36% for the whole season. He was sucking with or without his 0 for 10 performance tonight. His poor shooting just got poorer.

Yet people also make it personal to go after him any time he makes a mistake.

Then people will defend him because they feel people go after him.

Some people got their panties in a bunch when others repeated what Mick said earlier in the season, that it was Troys team. For some reason that offended people and now people jump down his throat any chance they get.

He had a terrible game tonight, maybe the worst of his career. We need him to snap out of it quickly.
