It's kinda random but I love how much fun they seem to have. They root each other on and love watching each other do great, even if it's from the bench. I like the chemistry I'm seeing. Should only get better too.

Its really good to see. They had 16 assists tonight so it showed on the court too. The only person I never seen any kind of emotion or reaction is Quadri. I hope he is okay mentally and doesn't shut down.

Would love to see them start putting a string of whole games together but I love the energy. Somebody needs to beat Tulsa.

7 man rotation this game. Morman only got in the first half because Cobb and KJ had 2 fouls. 2nd half rotation was so much better. Need to keep it at that.

Not every game Scheids, I've been better the past few games lol. I try

Haha your first halves are absolute meltdowns when we aren't playing well...I can appreciate the intensity though. I just refrain from posting the things I yell at the TV haha

Steve Logan as a sophomore: 9.8 pt, 3.5 asst in 26.8 min. Troy Caupain as a sophomore: 9.8 pt, 3.7 asst in 30.4 min. Surprised? #Bearcats

Offense is up to #68 in KenPom, defense is down to #31. If we could be a top 50 offense and a top 20 defense then we become a threat in the NCAA tournament!

(Our best team was the 2010-11 team that lost to UConn in the 2nd round, they were #53 in offense and #14 in defense)

We definitely need to. I just realized we only play Tulsa once this year. That hurts us right from the jump. Luckily Tulsa plays SMU twice, close to the end of the season. That Memphis loss is starting to hurt a little bit more. I honestly don't see SMU losing to anyone except for possibly us (but its a home game for them) and UConn. I think the conference champion will have 3 or less losses. If that is the case, we really can't afford to lose anymore in conference. That is asking a lot for a young team.

I enjoyed this game. Well, the second half at least. This team creates so many open looks that they don't even take. It was a lot worse at the beginning of the year, and it's definitely gotten better, but we need to be consistent with, if you're open, SHOOT IT! If you have an open 10 footer, you have to take it. I don't care who's shooting it; even DeBerry is fine by me. I think a lot of times it's because their back is to the hoop and they don't even look to see if they've got an open look; they're just looking for someone to pass to.

Caupain is a true leader. I expect that by his senior year, he'll average 15 pts/6 asts per game.

I like the aggressiveness KJ played with on defense. He certainly needs to be careful with his fouling, but he was always in the face of the guy he was guarding and put a lot of pressure on him.

There was a little too much passing the ball around the perimeter for my liking, but that was due to our post players unsure how to break down Houston's zone. I feel like there's still often way too much standing around. There should never be a point where anyone is standing still.

When is the last time Caupain missed a FT? Ellis too...I love it.

Caupain is on a 9 game stretch 21/21 (100%)

Ellis is on a 10 game stretch 28/30 (93.33%)

KJ is on a 10 game stretch 10/11 (91%)

Of course I would like to see more attempts from KJ but this is about as good as FT shooting gets

Looks like we are settling in to a nice 8 man rotation.

Caupain
Johnson
Sanders
Clark
Ellis

First off the bench

Cobb
Thomas
DeBerry

Spot/situation minutes

Morman
Moore

Hopefully this will provide the players with some consistency of lineup and role definition. It should help with overall chemistry and effectiveness. I kind of like it!

Good win no doubt. Good to see Shaq make quality basketball plays. Very productive with the time he had on the court. With the shortened rotation I suppose the coaches are all in on K.J. From a production standpoint it stands to reason that his time should be shortened. I'll trust the coaches for now. But I'm not sure you can ignore the trends that have developed. They simply must not like what Morman brings even though his production dwarfs KJ's in half the time. Hell Morman, had more Offensive rebounds in 8 minutes last night (2) than KJ has had all season in almost 400 minutes (1). Nevertheless, good to win and move on to the next. No bad losses here on out and I think we should be in good shape.

I agree with you that KJ has had his struggles on offense this year but it looks like he's coming around a bit. However, he REALLY disrupts the other team when he's playing D and he knows where he is supposed to be. Morman is very disruptive too but he looks like he's just winging it sometimes. Cobb isn't bad but not nearly as disruptive as KJ.

Bottom line is we can't really rely on scoring from any of them so KJ is probably the best play...which is likely why the coaches have him in there. If Cobb happens to get hot...he will probably stay in and same goes for Morman.

I wish Cobb wasn't so streaky.

He has 11 games with 0 or 1 3s and is 6-40 (15%) in those games.

On the other hand, he has 7 games with 2+ 3s and is 21-44 (47.7%) in those games.

It is weird bc I remember Savino saying that they are surprised if he ever misses in practice. But somehow that isn't translating to the games most of the time. He has missed at least 3 3s in 12 of our 18 games. Not sure what the fix is, but we need him to be better.

Logans sophomore year was Kenyons senior year where we were number one all year. He lost his starting job to Satterfield that year at some point if my memory serves me right. I'd like to see what caupain could do on a loaded team. Hopefully we find out the next two years.

I've been hard on KJ but he has been playing better the last few games. Morman scored some points but he has been lost on defense and still doesn't play team defense. He gives up a lot of points. KJ has been excellent on defense.

I think Logan started most games alongside of Satterfield. Martin, Logan, Satterfield, Johnson, Mickeal, Fletcher, Tate. Damn, that team was loaded.
