Looks like we are settling in to a nice 8 man rotation.

Caupain
Johnson
Sanders
Clark
Ellis

First off the bench

Cobb
Thomas
DeBerry

Spot/situation minutes

Morman
Moore

Hopefully this will provide the players with some consistency of lineup and role definition. It should help with overall chemistry and effectiveness. I kind of like it!

I really like putting sanders in the starting lineup. I also really like that he has upped his aggressiveness on offense since getting into the starting lineup. I think kj has started to show he deserves to be starting with this roster. He plays good defense and is finding his rythym on offense. Team is starting to come together and roles are being defined, which by January we were all kind of hoping/expecting them to.

I wish Cobb wasn't so streaky.

He has 11 games with 0 or 1 3s and is 6-40 (15%) in those games.

On the other hand, he has 7 games with 2+ 3s and is 21-44 (47.7%) in those games.

It is weird bc I remember Savino saying that they are surprised if he ever misses in practice. But somehow that isn't translating to the games most of the time. He has missed at least 3 3s in 12 of our 18 games. Not sure what the fix is, but we need him to be better.

I agree, but he needs to be in the game and keep shooting. He can change the game very quickly. He has a good stroke, just needs to get it consistent. Quick release, good bounce, it's tough to stop when he's on. I wish he'd start to be in the flow of the game from the first minute.

I think Logan started most games alongside of Satterfield. Martin, Logan, Satterfield, Johnson, Mickeal, Fletcher, Tate. Damn, that team was loaded.

2 NBA lottery picks (Martin, Johnson) and 3 other NBA draftees (Logan, Mickeal, Satterfield). Wow they were talented!

I much rather he come off the bench, though he isn't really a point guard, he is the second best one we've got. Plus, Johnson has come on lately and is MUCH better defender, Cobb does get steals but gets lost a ton.

Yep! We need to get consistent production from the 2 and 3 spot, we already know what we are getting from Caupain, Clark and Ellis. I like that they have stuck with Johnson, knowing how important he is to making the team better. I also really like Sanders with the starters because he is a solid player and creates better spacing with the starters since he can shoot the three. Shaq has been good as the small ball 4 but needs to improve his rebounding.

I thought starters were Satterfield, DerMarr, Mickeal, Tate and Kenyon that year. I tried to look it up but it only showed stats and minutes. Anyone have a better link or know for sure?

Morman scored some points but he has been lost on defense and still doesn't play team defense. He gives up a lot of points.

Yeah, Houston scored 18 of their points in the 8 minutes Morman was in the game at the end of the first half. They scored 36 the other 32 minutes. I'm pretty sure Morman was playing with the other 4 regulars during his time as well (at least for most of it).

He just gets beat a lot trying to get greedy steals, or he cheats too far over from his side of the zone. He's gotta figure it out or he's not going to get any PT.

I saw on Twitter that Billy Hamilton was at the game last night. That's pretty cool, I like getting support like that. Jeremy Hill has also been to a game. I'm glad those guys know who the real college team in Cincinnati is!

Pete attends a decent amount of games as well and BP was there a few games ago as well. Latos attended a game across town and you see where it got him...traded, LOL

Bengals and Reds players go to Xavier games too.

I think Cobb's defense has been pretty good lately. His team defense was bad early in the year but IMO he has improved tremendously. Plus his on the ball defense has been creating havoc for the opposing teams. He has very quick hands.

I think it's worth a shot to start him and see if that (1) helps the team get out of the gate quicker and (2) helps him find consistency in his shot.

That's what I remember, too. I think Logan started the year starting but Satterfield ended up starting over him at some point.

According to NBA.com, Logan started 22/33 games that year. Not sure what order that happened in. I know his junior year they were side by side.

Caupain is now over 40% on the year from 3. Currently at 40.5%. Nice work...88% FT too.

Great numbers. Caupain really jumps high when he shoots. (good thing) Its not easy to get that much air in your jump shot unless its something you practice over and over and over because its all about your jump and release point. You can tell he has really worked hard on it. He continues to impress every game. Its pretty clear, Caupain needs to be involved all the time for our offense to have any kind of flow.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it but Ellis has made 28 out of his last 30 ft's and caupain hasn't missed a free throw since sometime in December.

Looks like Logan started first 19 games then was replaced by satterfield. I wonder if Johnson got hurt and he may have started in his place his other three starts or satterfield.
