We did what we had to do. Given our limited opportunities to pick up resume-building wins in conference, this was pretty much a must-win game. If we can beat MT and Nebraska, we will enter the conference with a respectable RPI, but only one, MAYBE two wins against at-large quality teams.

We still need to do some work in conference to make the tournament. That means no losses against the bottom third of our conference, and we will need to steal 2-3 wins against UL, Memphis, and UConn. But at least we have something to look forward to... the future would have been a lot more bleak if we lost this game.

I'll let you figure that out on your own Einstein. Obviously, Mick didn't hit the game winner.

His play in those last couple minutes was just atrocious. If we continue to hold teams 40 below their average, we'll be fine. One key word describes tonights game....EFFORT!!!!! I wasn't expecting to win this game after the last two...but we did...so even if we only socred less than 50 can we hit the pause button for a second please?

I was on tou side...my comments about the pause button were for other posters.

You obviously dont understand how to be a scorer and how to help your team. Youre so asphyxiated on SK putting up points. T
He isn't helping anyone jacking up bad shots. Which he has/does when he faces a decent team. By now he should know how to become a factor EVEN when the defense mainly focuses on him. I am done trying to explain this to you since you only want to hear what you think is correct.

Please explain which part of the post I should pause. Was it not an outstanding effort in your opinion?

Thank God we have continuous D! I thought GG played a great defensive game. Stuck to his man like glue. We still had trouble working the ball in to the paint, and that includes everyone, but I, for one, was shocked (and pleasantly surprised) that we pulled it out. Fortunately, Pitt has only one low post player who's playing out of position a la JJ. And just like JJ, Zanna can't shoot FTs. FTs 29 vs 3 - what does that say about our not getting into the paint? And single digit assists again. But congratulations to the Cats for winning on sheer tenacity and heart. You guys have 3 days to find an offense, and one of those will be a travel day. Good luck.

If anything, SK hasn't been aggressive enough. He only took 9 shots against X, that isn't enough for this team that has no one else. He is trying to get others involved. He has in no way shape or form been jacking up bad shots this year. Last year there were plenty of times but he hasn't been doing that this year. SK is the teams only hope.

And are you seriously saying that SK hasn't been a factor? Seriously? The defense is completely focusing on him and he has still been the only player to put up points.

I'm sorry I was still keying off of this early in the game (before we won). Who's Kilpatrick...do you remember this?

You probably didn't read my whole post. I may have added something after you read IDK...but it wasn't aimed at you.
