Saunders was one of the best players on the floor against the most athletic team in the country. I get he might not be a complete player by next year but I think he will be good enough if needed. Eason will also be good if they have a whole summer to work. Not having that really hurt development. But we definitely need more. Will be a fun couple months this spring. Waiting for commits.

Saunders was great today. Very impressed. I think he will drop a little pudge and add a little muscle going into next yr.

Good luck landing that guy imo...

I did see that the whole staff followed him. I don’t know what the deal with him is. Says class of 2020, but also says he’s going or went pro on 247. It also says he’s from Seattle, so maybe he knows tari. Anyone know anything about the kid? That would be a game changer.

Also isn’t Tim Morris from Seattle. Maybe that’s our in.

Eason and Davenport either need gain weight or work on handles to become elite wings.

Davenport is never going to be an elite wing. The bar is pretty low, this was an odd year of basketball. The league was pretty bad this year. This team wont be good next yr just book it. I admire the positive thoughts on here but this program isn't going anywhere right now. Let's just see what the recruits are looking like

Not too much from the post-game.

We are trying to get a game in this week. Brannen seemed to think there's a good chance it will happen. Will we have two senior nights?

Keith's mom missed senior night because of the suddenness, unfortunate for him.

Said all players who graduate participate in senior night and not to read anything into Diarra or even the seniors participating (possibly dropping a hint about Vogt returning).

My goal for next years team will be to be comparable to this year’s version of Memphis. 60-70ish in ranking. Bubble team. I think that’s realistic. All will depend on the additions and subtractions. I don’t want to see Vogt again. Respect him, good teammate but I’m good. Same for dou. Let’s just go another direction

That beachump thing might have legs. The whole staff and tari is following the guy. Reminds me of the Harvey situation.

Get him early, sell other recruits. Best case

davenport should be stud by JR/SR year.

Sad to say we go need at least one of them back. I’ll probably lean towards Vogt if we get him a real defensive big. Vogt should only play 15-22 min game max

I think bubble team next year is what we need for Brannen to not be on the hot seat. But we need a lot of help to get there. We are unlikely to get an immediate impact star in recruiting.

I have no interest in Vogt coming back, I think he makes us a worse team. He does not fit our style, Brannen basically sacrifices the entire style he claims to want to play in order to get Vogt on the court and I have no idea why. I'm afraid Vogt will come back though, his pro prospects are no better than they were last year and Brannen seems to love him.

Diarra I'd gladly take back. We have no center for next year. Eason playing out of position is not the solution. Lakhin is unlikely to be the solution. Diarra fits Brannen's style quite well, if he can get on the court. If Vogt comes back I can't imagine Dou does, but if it's Dou and transfers, I could see him coming back and getting minutes.

I’d rather have dou back if I had to pick just for something different but dou is a complete disaster at times. But I’m over Vogt. I hope he goes an plays and Europe and makes a great living. I agree that he doesn’t fit the style,

Did you watch the first minute?

The first minutes were a disaster, but not nearly entirely Diarra's fault. The whole team couldn't deal with the trap.

Between Martin, Cook, and Vogt, Diarra was probably the 2nd best option to be handling the ball (behind Williams). Like he does with the 1-3-1, Brannen put Diarra in a position to fail.

I agree. If we are talking about elite/nba level prospect, obviously not. But a really good college player. Absolutely. He’s already good.

I'm slowly changing my opinion on Davenport. He may have a shot at making the NBA as a 3-and-D guy. Probably not, but he's showing more star potential than I originally expected. If he were a little taller or a little more athletic he'd have a real shot at the NBA, but maybe he can outwork the guys who have more natural gifts. Gary Clark wasn't our most athletic 4, but has had the most NBA success because he works harder.

I agree. The nba is a different animal. But college, you don’t have to be a great athlete. I would like someone to explain to me why he can’t be a good college player. Shoots well, decent size, decent handles. Because he wasn’t ranked high? That’s usually the only reason.
