We need to shift gears and get ready for Miami. Yes, we played well against Houston, but we are not good enough to look past Miami--just look at the last few years. Where was our running game? Did we try getting outside, or did we just keep plowing up the middle for one yard?

I think our running game will be fine. Houston's run defense is ridiculously good - no one runs against them. We ran for 260 yards against Purdue. I'll be shocked if we struggle running the ball against Miami.

I think it's a similar theme as it was going into the Purdue game - if we don't do anything dumb (i.e. turnovers & penalties), then we'll win comfortably. We went nine consecutive quarters without a turnover before the three interceptions at the end of the Houston game.

I hope we can get an early lead and get some more reps for Gunner and Ross - and rest some of our starters.

Go Cats!

Predictions

I'll say our defense plays well, creates 3 more turnovers and the offense plays reasonably clean.

I'll admit that I'm a little nervous that we won't be up for this game, it will be really hot and we're a little sluggish. However, the Nip will be nearly full if not a sellout and we should prevail.

I'd really hate to lose this game and be staring at USF the next week. I don't see it because I think our defense should be able to create some problems for Miami, but I don't know if I can trust this team yet.

I am pretty sure that the camera crew caught Tubbs yawning during the last drive. Hopefully someone gets him some coffee at the half.

Have to close the program. They're going to lose on their home field to one of the 2-3 worst teams in the entire NATION.

This team was thoroughly beat by Eastern Illinois and they're dominating us. Close the program. This is humiliating for the school. We can be a basketball only school.

Not very Jack Johnson like. The real JJ is a very happy, spaced out jammer. Your name is false is misrepresenting him.

I believe it was his knee. He is done for the year

Well, he didn't play against Houston, but he was jumping around cheering the team on during that game. If it was a knee, it must have happened in practice.

On status of #45 LB Bryce Jenkinson:
TT: Bryce Jenkinson has been operated on and will be out for the year with a knee injury
