This win could be the difference between a bowl game or not. Great job by the team to never quit! Tuberville may have just kneeled it out once it was 17-6.

Huge win! This is the kind of win that can catapult a team forward. Need more potency out of the offense. This defense is playing their tails off though!

That was the most absurd last 3min I've ever seen.

No doubt!
Both coaches made some bad calls.

We won the game, and I believe in being aggressive, but I would not have went for it on 4th down like CLF. That almost bite us LOL (I can laugh now). I'd love to see a poll about what others would have done in the same situation.

Coach Martin throwing it on the second last drive, in the shadow of their own end zone with a lead and time running out. Not smart football. Maybe he thought our offense was clicking and 1 first down would seal the game.

At least on TV it looked like MU may have got some bad calls at the end (same drive, delay of game Coach thought they had called time out, and last drive the refs picked up the flag for pass interference), but we've been on the wrong end on a lot of those so I'll take it.

Was so happy to stay on top of this team.

If this team is going to take a step forward the offense is going to have to improve a bunch. Two int's and a bunch of drops by the receivers won't cut it.

Lots of room to grow but 2-1 is still where I expected us to be after 3 games.

I believe Fickell said we wanted to draw them offsides and weren't supposed to snap the ball on that 4th down.

I'd like to see Doaks and Warren getting the load running the ball and use Boone more in the slot.

I also would like to establish the run a bit more but some of the drops we have had are missed touchdowns. Lewis has dropped two potential TD's. Really aren't good enough to give those opportunities away. Especially against good teams.

Defense has been a pleasant surprise. Offense needs a lift.

At RB, Doaks is the top runner in my opinion. Doaks is a tough runner who can run inside or out. Boone and Warren need to play in a backup role. Boone is a work horse, but his size and durability come into play. Warren is young and improving and will be a great one for UC.

At QB, I'd open it up competition and include Sopko and Ridder. I fail to see why the QB race was only between Trail and Moore. The offense hasn't put it together. It's not all the QB's fault as the play calling has been vanilla in game against Austin Peay, tough opponent in game Michigan, and a lot of dropped passes in game against Miami. Sopko and Ridder are both capable and ready.

At WR, I'd open it up completely. Lewis is proven and has flashed some excellent skills. Geddis is a speedster who needs more touches. Gray is a top notch receiver who needs to wake up. I'd love to get a better look at Medaris who ran excellent routes and looked really good in his limited opportunities. Fickell needs to consider taking off the red shirt and playing Freshman Hawes who is another speedster, Naber who is dependable and sure handed, and Cloud who is thick and tough to bring down after catch. Summers is another receiver who needs to get a look, but injury has him on the shelf.

Nice first post! Keep em coming!

I agree with you big time on Doaks. He looks good.

I'm all for opening up a QB competition, I just wouldn't do it now. We're 2-1 and playing a 3rd straight road game against a tough team. I say if you do make a switch, let the new guy play at home against Marshall for a better chance at success.

Good point. I agree it would be hard to do considering 2-1 and really didn't expect to beat Michigan. If we beat Navy, then I'd ride it out as long as possible, but I'm thinking long term. We have two capable guys on the pine 3rd and 4th stringers and one coming in next year who was a Wisconsin commit at one point. I really like the Doaks kid at RB. At WR, In my opinion, Fickell needs to take a good hard look and open it up. I really like the freshman group and Medaris and Geddis. It's hard to argue against Lewis and Gray, but the two have dropped two crucial passes this year.
