No one cares about UC nationally either. They used to though...
I can confirm this.

Local enough to know the enquirer is the paper. No one cares about x nationally either.

Lol.....just go read old posts dude. I'm not typing it all again. All you guys can counter with are his 6 straight NCAAs and then you start searching for anything else that you can throw out there. I only really have to post 2-3 items....recruiting and attendance and discounting ticket prices. Those three trump any of his minuscule accomplishments. I can name 10-15 other things and have done it over and over. Just read the old posts.
The administration once made us buy season tickets to football just to get our basketball tickets. This in the same pathetic arena that we have today. And, we sold the place out. After 10 years of this incredible job of Cronin buildup, the administration has to cut ticket prices to nothing, to get people to come. And we still can't get 10,000 people to come to games. And many of the people attending want him gone. I could go on for two or three more paragraphs but you've heard it before...or maybe you haven't. Those with an agenda ignore the facts.
This is Villanova's first sweet 16 since 2009. I can't believe Nova didn't get rid of Jay Wright after all his early exits.

Found this on a cincy site i check out from time to time. I think he's pretty spot on
Sad thing is when this report made it’s rounds on social media, there are a lot of Bearcats fans that would be happy to see him go. Mainly first and second year students, hell could be most of the student body. Mostly the people that don’t remember how bad this program was when Cronin took over, he has revived this program. You don’t turn your back on someone like that, let alone one of your own. Mick isn’t leaving, get use to the Bearcats style of play or go to Norwood. It’s as simple as that.
Another mention of your season ticket status, we get it.
although i don't wanna bring huggins up again i do have one question. If he wasn't wrongfully forced out would you be calling for his job or at least questioning if the university should look at possible alternatives? That is based on his 1 sweet 16 in his final 9 years. I'm all for something better if it's there, but we all see the debacle we went through after cleaning house.
I keep seeing people say this. This is what makes me nervous. Up and comer= not proven at the highest level. There simply arent many Bob Huggins of the world out there. We got extremely lucky with that hire. Young up and comers also include John Groce of Illinois and Josh Pastner. I just dont want our program to take a step back. Momentum is on our side. 6 straight tourney runs. New arena supposedly on the way. Might get into the big 12. Recruiting appears to be getting better (Clark, Evans, Cumberland in back to back to back classes). I want to build on the good things. I think Mick can do better. I think he should be expected to do better. He has legitimate reasons as to why his program is stuck in neutral. If the arena and new league come to fruition those excuses are no longer valid. If the results dont change he has to go. But I just dont think now is time to take our chips off the table. I think Mick sees the same thing and will not go anywhere.
I' m smart enough to be able to see what a fluke it was that we didn't advance further in a lot of those years. Plus, Huggs gave us league championships, tournament championships, MacDonald's All Americans, National Player of the year, 1St Team All Americans, Amazing regular seasons, High rankings, high seeds, national TV, sellouts, Juco all Americans and Juco players of the year, built the C-Paw brand, got us in the Big East, 14 straight NCAAs, etc. So.,that was a silly question. Comparing this Cronin scenario with that is ridiculous. And no, I wouldn't be questioning Huggs.

Um I went to school in cincy for 4 years. I know what the local paper is.
Lol
You're more nationally relevant when you make it to the second weekend, are nationally ranked etc...got y'all beat there. Last time UC was relevant in that sense we were all using AOL and dial up modems back when Kmart went down. Lot has changed since then.
The fact that X fans want mick to stick around should tell you all you need to know.
Anyway I'm done. - good luck to y'all in the offseason. Please do all ya can to keep the lil guy in Clifton. I'd hate to not get to beat him 4x in a row next year.

We turned our backs on one of our own...a true Bearcats legend...Tony Yates, who had three good players returning and a brand new arena on the way. Present has been established.
As I recall, the "lil guy" beat X with perhaps the least talented UC team in 25 years. 2 years ago, X fans were screaming for Chris Mack's head. Things change quickly.
