He said what if UNLV offers him 4 million? They just paid there last coach $300,000.

one of the comments on the twitter feed pointed out that UNLV had top recruiting classes a few years ago and is vegas' "pro team. also vegas is the center of the aau tourney world with some great recruiting opportunities.

Nationally Mick is well thought of. That's what's so sad about the people wanting to run him off.

If you asked 100 people outside of this tri-state area who Mick Cronin is, 97 would have no clue who he is.

Mick's not going anywhere. This is all a big joke. He just wants us to worry and beg for him back. As someone else said, his ex wife would have to be moving to Vegas for this to happen. If he does go, I'll be elated. If he returns, I'll hope he finally earns his millions and does something special. I'll continue to be a hard a$$ about him until he makes me happy. Unlike many of you believe, I can turn on a dime and have no problem with the guy if he produces, but this silly 6 at large bid accomplishment means almost nothing to me when he is doing very little else.

Last thing I am going to say tonight before going to bed is this: it is my opinion, that if Mick leaves, UC fans should be very concerned about the investment in the program by the AD and university. I don't believe this posturing has anything to do with Mick's salary. It's about recruiting disadvantages such as no plane, poor facilities, unfulfilled promises by the AD. UNLV has better facilities and if they are willing to pony up for some of those recruiting advantages, it could be enticing to a coach.

This is pretty spot on.

I think Mick is tired of the administration not fulfilling their promises. Bohn has been focusing on football. UNLV football is awful and I would assume UNLV cares more about their basketball program. UC has done little to give Mick what he feels is enough to recruit better. Yes, overall our facilities are solid but the arena is a joke and outdated. If Mick feels slighted by the administration again it might have been the last straw. UNLV offers him $2 million and better accommodations for recruiting and Mick could be gone.

I believe they fly coach to games at UNLV

UC would be doing the same, but Cronin has raised the money to fly charter for years. Used to be forced to bus the 5 hours to Pitt and WVU back in the Big East days. The budget for charter travel is up to him to raise...

It's comical how many of you have such a low opinion of our program. Zero expectations, zero belief that we can and should compete for anything and thousands of excuses to back up your reasons why we can't do things.

Yet my fan-hood is put into question by many of you because I don't support our coach? What exactly is it so many of you are worried about happening if Mick left?? It's not like some of you guys have expectations anyways.

as though things getting worse when mick leaves has not even been a possibility to you
