Where there's smoke there's fire. C'Mon Mick, got to UNLV and I'll never say a bad thing about you again!!! Maybe our luck as Cincinnati fans is finally starting to turn around.

I know, right. Woke up this morning feeling depressed thinking how i had to keep watching juco's playing bad basketball and listening to mick cry for another year.

Then this wonderful news happen.

I don't want Mick to leave mainly because I want Evans,
Clark and Cumberland to remain Bearcats.
I would have no issue With Mick leaving if I knew who would replace him. It darn well better be a guy who makes the dance every year and wins 20 games. After all those guys grow on trees.

Why does everyone assume those kids would automatically leave?? Not saying they wouldn't, but it's not certain they would either.

I'm not saying they would leave but it isn't a given they'd stay either. Anyways if Mick goes he goes. I don't really care at this point.

L-T, let's assume for a second that Cronin is gone. Do you like the risk of losing our best players? I've had a lot of the same gripes as you, but I just flat don't want guys like Clark, Evans, or Cumberland to ever wear another college jersey.[/Qof

First of all, I don't think they'll leave, but consider all the players who we never get to see wearing red and black because of our pathetic offensive identity. A whole different world of recruits will open up. I'm fed up with eating Xavier's dust. I'm sure the X fans are pushing hard for us to extend Mick.

Wouldn't blame Mick if he wanted to leave for UNLV. More $$$$, better facilities, only sports team in town. It's not as outlandish at first blush as it seems.

It's not more money, I was just looking at the UNLV boards, they have never paid anyone more than a million. Mick is making 2.2 here.

What makes you think that a coach with less success than Mick at a new job would automatically get better recruits. Christ its not like we would hire coach K. Losing Mick would be a huge step back for the program.

And if you were a kid here who committed and now the coach is gone you'd definitely think about leaving.

And I've never paid more than 50 bucks for a steak, doesn't mean I wouldn't double that if I deemed it worthy and I had the funds.

I would look at Brad Underwood (Stephen F Austin's coach). The speed, discipline, defense, and composure they played with against WVU was tremendously impressive.

Archie Miller, pay him 2.2 and he's yours. Dayton is a cesspool.

I agree. Of I were Mick I would bounce
