Mick a Candidate for UNLV?

Howland has some issues with players during his final years at UCLA. 11 players left the program from 2008-2012. UCLA was in a downward spiral and Howland was reported to look away from player issues, even players bullying other players. Try using a thing called Google, might make you look less foolish.

Lol....have you been adding up all the players that have left our program?

L-T, firing Howland was incredibly stupid. Might want to use a different example.

SO STUPID. Howland was a recruiting machine and obviously a good coach considering their numerous final 4's under his watch. The Howland example is a much better example for the people who want to keep Mick not get rid of him. Grass is not always greener.

was responding to Jacob's statement >>> "He makes the tournament every year and has proven that he can produce All-Conference players. Those coaches don't get fired. That's the way it is."

Not only do coaches get fired for mediocrity, sometimes it is even worse in the case of Howland.

Again....bottom line....he can't recruit, and he can't put butts in the seats. Those are two "major" reasons why he should go.

Read this article about Howland's firing and notice the similarities....an expected strong season that was not achieved....administrations concern about the inability to sell out a renovated Pauley Pavilion, crowds less than 10,000, etc. Sound familiar?

Hell minny fired tubby after winning a tourney game for the first time in ten years.

Sad when a program like minny is more proactive then Cincinnati.

Lol...well UK forced him out and he won a national title there.

Weren't they like 1-17 in the BIG 10 this year? Didn't Tubby make the tournament at Texas Tech? Another not so good example.

L-T, you're ignoring our All-Conference players. The 2010-2012 classes were bad. No excuse for that. It really hurt us. But those players are all gone now and the last 4 classes have produced very good players.

So what is the narrative going to be when Mick is at Montgomery Inn tomorrow doing his coaches show? The vocal minority in this "fan base" is extremely tiring and annoying.

Yea, i'm not sure he was forced out, from my understanding uk didn't want his son on the staff and tubby said good bye from there.

But who knows. Point is coaches have been fired for doing a lot more, then what cronin has done in ten years.

If the only way for him to be gone is leaving for another job then so be it. But uc could fire him without the university looking negative, like some belive.

He's done nothing special at uc for 10 years now.

The narrative? More crying about refs and shot clocks.

Plus if the tweet i posted is true he will be in vegas tomorrow

The vocal minority??? Yeah, I forgot we're playing in front of sold out arenas every night. Seems to me like when 80% of our home games are played to a less than 50% full arena you get your majority opinion right there. Then again, I guess it's pretty easy for a lot of you to have opinions when none of your hard earned money actually goes to support the university.
