So reports are now showing it's done. Mick will listen to uc's counter offer but says no way uc can match it. Reports are not from espn or cbs, so i'm sure some won't belive it but we have seen how this has played out before.

Get your popcorn ready.

got any sources. Would love to read them. This should be interesting. So UC gets a chance to match the offer?

@NolanTJ Way I'm hearing it, the deal is already done on UNLV's end, Cronin is waiting to see if Cincy can beat it. Which they can't.

I've got a huge bag of flaming hot cheetos. Let's do this!

No im not chad and don't have sources, so i like my chances being right.
here is something I found

http://m.wlwt.com/news/Reports-Mick-Cronin-close-to-deal-with-UNLV/38662326?utm_source=dlvr.itwhats being reported is he will meet with Cincinnati before committing and see if things can be worked out in his contract that are non financial in nature to try to come to a agreement before signing on with UNLV. The fact yah he is coming home not signed is a big red flag for UNLV. They are obviously his second choice. The beat goes on.

This guys is an attorney in the Vegas area with friends in the Athletic Department. Probably as close to the program as many of us are. Not to say he is wrong but I wouldn't take this guy's opinion to the bank yet.

You know unlv was going offer today. They need to get this over with asap, exp if all the players leave lol.
Thought so to. Mick will meet with UC. It's obvious Mick doesn't want to leave or he would have signed and not agreed to give UC the last meeting.

They may have a agreement but he has agreed to meet with UC before signing. According to the article this was never about money.

Or he wants to tell his kids goodd bye.
He will meet with UC.if they can agree on some language in his deal he'll stay of not he is gone. If it was just about the kids he would have told UNLV not to release announcement until he talked to the team. Happens all the time. He is meeting with ONO and Bohn.

I could be proven wrong by the weekend, but I think Mick is still our coach next season. He obviously wants to be the coach in Cincinnati, but he has "demands". Ono and Bohn clearly want to keep him here too. I think they'll find the money and placate Mick enough with guarantees about the support that the program will get going forward. Usually when the people on both sides of a negotiation want the same thing, it happens...
