Mick a Candidate for UNLV?

We all need to take a deep breath for a second. I have been a Mick fan and I hope he stays, but if he does go (which might be best, keep reading), would be that the fan base unites once again to support UC BASKETBALL. I love UC, and I want to see 5/3, the new arena, and whatever arena follows to be filled with those that love everything about the program.

Let's Unite and Party like it's 1992! haha

If us fans filled that goofy arena, those recruits wouldn't care jack about it. The coach can't rally the fanbase to sell it out, therefore, let's spend another $100 Million and hope the nicer atmosphere makes the fans come, since the basketball isn't getting it done. Bottom line, how many fans want to sit in the upper deck to watch 55-53 games? NOBODY!

didn't they average 73 points a game this year?

They had their highest avg attendance in years. You think adding a couple more thousand fans per night would really lure more recruits. Most recruits are here on big time games we sell out anyway. You know what will help get more people to the games? More casual fans? Better amenities. Make going to a UC game an enjoyable experience. The bathrooms suck. The concessions suck. The entertainment outside of the game sucks. Parking sucks. It is a high school experience on steroids. I've been to a ton of Xavier games and even though it makes me want to puke to be there, it really is a fun experience. At UC you park, you sit, you watch, you leave. For the diehard fan that is enough. For the casual fan they are not spending money for that experience in my opinion.

Trying to convince investors to spend money with no ROI is not easy. Show them you can produce ROI and it will be easier. Get fans in the seats and make some damn money and we will give you an arena and private jet and higher salary to boot.

The fan hype and loyalty never really got started with Cronin. I don't place the blame on facilities...maybe it would help a little but how much are we talking here?

I have to question a UC fan that admits going to "a ton" of Xavier games. Outside of the UC game, you know how many I've been to in my life>>>>ZERO! I wouldn't go if the tickets were free.
