I read it all. Everything you said Mick said ended up being true.

Because the offense is exactly the same as it was?

Because over the course of 6 years we see inconsistency in scoring?

Because we see scoring droughts that last into the 5-6min range?

Because we see little movement without the ball?

Because we see no off the ball screens?

Please tell me, vs coming on here and being a dipshit.

While youre researching that, google me! You may learn something

Most likely.

Would it be any different than Mick Cronin blaming LS and Vaughn for offensive struggles? Dont you guys remember that? He said there will be more chemistry withought those 2 and more ball flow. Then he put all the pressure on Killa

I do remember Mick indirectly throwing Vaughn and Stephenson under the bus by saying that his team was going to be more cohesive. It was a veteran team that wasn't going to rely on an individual but teamwork and defense to be more successful. He was very confident his team would be significantly better last season than it was the previous year and the team trip to Canada helped assure him of that.

And everything he said there ended up being true. Including the point about Killa being such an efficient scorer.

For a guy given the nickname Born Ready and a sure top NBA pick, to go 40th overall, he sure did imrpove downt he stretch. Give me a break. James White, who couldnt even shoot went 31st

Your opinions are not even relevent

Says the person whose favorite player is Gaines. That's all I need to know.

Haha

Those words never came out of my mouth. I said he can contribute and I look for him to be a leader when he gets his shot

When he was on the floor for the 6-7 games after X, they seemed to score pts and play well, did they not? Not saying it was all him, but they showed they are capable of playing when he is in

yea....and it had nothing to do with the competition. [/sarcasm]

ready2go you wouldn't think the production after the X game was a product of weak oppostition would you? At the very least it did have some bearing wouldn't you agree? The cats are a soid team. Good but not great. They are growing into a very solid program under Cronin. They win games, stay out of trouble and pass their classes. It will continue to get better. If you were looking for a guy who could bring in top flight talent for a one and done season every year I might suggest rooting for KY. That is not UC and never will be. MC in my opinion has done a very good job. As he grows so will the program. Best part is he is a Cincinnatian and wants to be here. Go Cats!!!!!

Its funny,

The first 3 years of Micks tenure I had friends, who said Mick cannot coach without giving him a chance. I stood by Mick and said you cant make that assumption.

Well, finally I opened my eyes. Collapsing down the stretch 5 out of 6 years, lack of player develoment as a whole and scoring droughts. The eye does not lie.

I thank Mick for getting us where he has, I just don't see his coaching philosophy getting us any further

May have, but they were at full strength playing against Presbyterian and scored 54 in a loss

Full strength? Hmm, I seem to remember Parker not playing in that game. Seems to me he has been an important piece to this year's team considering he starts and averages close to 10 points per game.

Did you ever think collapsing down the stretch was a result of not having a deep team and having guys wear down? No way, it had to be the coaching.

Cut down practice time, get guys off their feet. I don't care, you know the type of team you have and who can play. Find ways to keep them fresh. They are teenagers, playing in 2 games a week should not be grueling.

You see these are things National Championship teams do, but you wouldnt know about that :D but no seriously

Please tell what is the purpose of a Head Coach if he is not responsible for...

HIS team's inconstistency

HIS team's trend of scoring droughts

HIS team's lack of offensive production

HIS team's trend of collapsing down the stretch

HIS team's inability to play inspired (hustle).....as Mick so often refers to after a loss

Players come and go, but the coach remains the same

So please, tell me what he does?

You guys make it seem that the players are responsible for all of this

lol. Strawmen weeeeeeeee. Theres no point in even engaging with you on any of this if the above is the stance you want to take and act like those statements are representative of the majority in favor of keeping mick, but it sure is funny to laugh at.

Are the number of posts on this thread a Bearcat record? 8 pages, wow!

Kind of strange it started with the ridiculous comment "Mick to Illinois?"

Maybe next week I will start a "Mick to UCLA" thread.

Hustle issues are both player and coach related. There is one thing you can't teach and that's heart. That said a head coach may not be at fault but is ultimately responsible for the traits of his team. I think this has been beat to death....thread closed.
