No, that is not the missing piece to the puzzle. They had an open scholarship this year so they gave it to Epp (most likely during the second semester in case they wanted a transfer).

Fellas, it really isn't that difficult. There are no secret academic scholarships or magical ways around the situation. A basketball program is allowed to have 13 scholarships. Right now they have 12 (13 if you count Epp's). They gain three after this year (from Cash, Parker, and Mbodj). They have 5 incoming (KJ, Morman, TC, Strickland, Lawrence). 12 - 3 + 5 = 14 = too many. As stated earlier, someone either has to leave or one of the incoming won't be here (and as someone pointed out someone could become a walkon but that is highly unlikely).

Speculate all you want as to who will leave or which commitments won't make it (or even who will become a walkon if you really want to) but we'll eventually find out once the season is over. There are no secret ways around it.

13 scholarships. Lots of walkons but I believe only a certain amount can sit on the bench and/or travel with the team.

Absolutely. Uc is capable and more than ready to defeat duke, iu, osu and the rest. Thiis team is a national championship contender easily
