Y’all hating on Broome notice Jenifers numbers against a good team? He is nothing on O and can’t stay in front of anyone.

Been saying that for 2 years and get killed for it.

Our rotation is shrinking...not for good reasons. Keith and Jarron are gamers. Scott and Jenifer back down to Earth. Brooks looked bad. Broome continues to be MIA.

With Broome looking mentally injured I wonder if it’s time to give Johnson a serious look. Probably better to fix broome’s head I guess.

broome can't play like he has the past 2 games for us to be successful. he has to be aggressive and attack. he can't try to be a pass only guy its just not him. he's been hesitant to look for his shot and drive and when he plays like that he just turns the ball over. his last turnover should have been a shot, i have on idea what he was doing.


jenifer has limitations and a game like this showed it. jenifer played well, broome was terrible but at the end of the day their lines were

Frustrating game. Weren't supposed to win this one but that doesnt make it any easier to witness. But we'll get over it much easier. We simply aren't going to win games against teams with good bigs if we cant dirty the hell of the game and keep it in the 50's or when we get outwhistled. We tried attacking the rim and got some calls on them but at the end of the day not enough stops on the other end and our offense didnt show up. I'm surprised we didnt try and press harder. Maybe their guards are too good for that, not sure, but once they got set in their offense it was either a three ball at a roughly 50 percent clip or an automatic foul. Our offense simply isnt good enough to keep up. Like I said, frustrating loss but we'll forget about it once conference play starts. 9-2 still looks good. Trying to be positive

Keith has the luxury of not being a pg. he shoots the ball all the time when he should not and he doesn’t pass. Cane can actually do a little of both but yes...he needs to make assists when he is creating his shot...not because he wants to feed someone else.

We will need big game cane before it’s all over!!

Mick has got to get away from how he ran offense the 2nd half. He did it last year with Jake unsuccessfully in some big spots and this year its for Cumberland. Its just not good offense and it puts way too much pressure on the guy running it.


Think about what our defense does to a team that doesn't pass and has 1 guy try to take on the team. We destroy it. We should expect other teams defenses to do the same.



I found it interesting in the first half when the female announcer was talking about Mick knowing the analytics and no team can make enough 2's against us to win. But then you look at how he designs his offenses year in and year out and it just makes you wonder.

Dont disagree, but tonight I think he was trying to play iso ball and get fouls. The refs were calling everything.

I thought Cane shouldve gotten in, he can draw fouls in a game like that

Mick has ruined this kid. Mick is a solid coach...not great. And for some reason he’s decided he’d rather win some kind of mind game with Broome then help the kid be better. It sucks. Such a waste.

The bigs are proving to be what we thought they'd be when we play solid competition. Scott has been bad against osu, unlv, and miss state. he still played 27 minutes but only had 4 rebounds with 2-9 shooting.

I think it mightve been a different game if the refs let the teams play. These refs came out looking to call anything and everything. At the end of the day I think they were pretty even, maybe a little homerism for the home team but that happens. They called so much off the ball stuff it was ridiculous. A foul is a foul I suppose but let teams play.

i think when cincinnati goes into a road game OOC the games will get called like that. we know we don't foul a lot, but i think the perception of a lot of physical teams is that they foul. i dont think its a coincidence that both this game and the unlv game were called like that.

He will never be given a chance to do so. And for all of you that’s dogging Cane Broome remember this and I have been saying this from day 1. Cane is not allowed to make mistakes and play through them. He’s not one of Micks favorites. Cane was not the cause of this lose when he really didn’t play in the second half. As a matter of fact he was pulled about a minute of being in with under 10 minutes to play. He made a turnover and was pulled, then Jennifer went in and immediately turned it over with a bad lob attempt to Jarron. Mick being Mick.

Except mick will quadruple down on defense. What have we seen that would say anything different? Until Micks recruiting gets better or his offensive coaching gets better, we will be what we’ve seen for years. It’s definitely not bad but it’s certainly not elite. In tough games when mick knows we need to score he gets scared to even run an offense and just prays his 1-2 best guys on the floor continue to make incredible 1:1 plays for 12 minutes. It doesn’t work.

I've read on this board for yeeeeaaaaaars that we need to not play two bigs, clear the lane and run more iso plays. The overwhelming thought is our offense is horrible, the weave doesnt work, the bigs are incapable, we want to see what we see in other teams which are guards allowed to dribble and get to the rim. So when Mick actually uses that method, why the complaints?

Mick can’t coach offense. He never has been able to and never will. That’s why they can’t win the big games and advance far in the tourney. He can coach defense but all UC has ever done is count on one or two guys carrying the team. This team has potential to be a fairly good team but I think Cronin holds them back.
