If they get 3 wins they would likely not draw a first round opponent

That's right. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the format as follows:

Top 4 seeds get byes to quaterfinals.

Next 4 seeds get byes to second round to meet winners of the first round games.

Seeds 9-16 play in the first round. Seeds 9-16 would have to win 5 games in 5 days to win it all.

3 keeps us alive. 4 gives a very good chance.

This team needs more wins against good teams.

But Cincinnati is only 2-6 in road games, 1-4 against RPI top-25 foes, 2-6 against the top 50 and 6-9 against the top 100- ESPN

You conveniently didnt copy the paragraph before that talking about how good the Maui Invitational was for us and how we swept UCONN.

O yea, because I forgot one of the criteria for the NCAA Selection Committee was the Maui Invitational. I guess here is what they look at now:

RPI
SOS
Record vs top 50 RPI
Last 10
Followed by The Maui Invitational

Come on man.

I disagree with some of your opinions but this was classic. Very good stuff

A few weeks ago I felt UC did not have a good chance at all in making the NCAA tournament. I am not talking numbers or anything because I am not sure what they were a few weeks ago off the top of my head but I feel more confident now then I did then.

Uconn is very close to the RPI top 50 with that win against Nova. That would be 2 wins against an RPI top 50 team. Uconn finishes @ Rutgers, WVU, UL, @ ND, @ USF. Uconn should finish at least 4-1, probably 5-0.

USF is also close to the RPI top 50. It would be huge to beat USF tonight, then hope they win out. USF's remaining games are SJU, at Nova, Prov, @ DePaul, Uconn. That should be at least 3-2.

This is a huge game tonight. We NEED this win badly. We win this game, I think we have a strong chance of dancing.

I disagree.

We need 20 wins, regardless of who the 20th win is against.

20 wins is a whole different story. I believe Great1 and I were talking about 4 more wins this season. Putting us at 19. I think that would mean it would depend on who the 4th win came against. Especially because I believe that we were talking about if the won the next 3 and lost to the last 3. UC would most certainly have to win at least 1 more game to get into the NCAA tourney.
