Honestly he should leave. He will never ever get the respect he deserves in that conference. He will not be able to get 5 star talent there. Maybe stay there another year and wait for a better job to open. He is young. He has a chance to be a coaching legend and not just a Butler legend.

True, I think he is a very good coach, love the way he coaches the game. Similar to that of the Houston Rockets. Don't know if you guys have read that piece about the Rockets, but they rely heavily on statistics. Not just those like shooting percentages, but they have the book on nearly every team. They have the shot percentages on a player going to the left and pulling up, going to the left and driving, as well as certain squares on the court. They know what every players tendencies are. They try and force players to their worst percentage shot, truly amazing how in depth they get. For example, they know if player A goes to the left, he's more likely to pass the ball vs. when he goes to the right. Really interesting read. That's the Rockets, not sure on how in depth Butler gets, but I heard it's similar to the Rockets. I know people may think every NBA team has this stuff, but they all don't, The rockets probably aren't the only team that does, but they were the ones to start that strategy.

Just to recap:

The ratings for tomorrow nights game will be interesting. Butler is a feel good story, and with Duke being on the other side, those who despise may watch to root against them. A Butler-WVU final would have had very poor ratings. Like it or not, the tourney needs the top seeds to do well as more fringe fans would be interested in watching great matchups rather than an unknown team playing. I think the tourney that had George Mason in the Final Four also had poor ratings, but at least they did not make it to the finals. Tomorrow nights game also doesn't do much for me, and I will watch only until the bludgeoning begins, likely the first 10 minutes of playing action.
When does the bludgeoning begin?
I'm rooting for Butler, but I think Duke wins by 12.

If it's close down the stretch, then Butler has a chance. One of the best teams to finish (obviously, since they haven't lost in 2010) I've ever seen. Taking notes on what to work on, fellas?
Nobody, including US on this forum gave Butler a chance.

Great game, anyone who watched that tonight and thinks Duke is the national champ, has to think Butler is a top 5 team. Greatone, I'm talking to you.
Excellent game. If there were 10 seconds on the clock instead of 3.6, Butler wins that game due to having the time to take a higher percentage shot.

Butler should make a decent run next year as well.......

For all those who think Butler winning would have been bad for the sport--The ratings were up 24% from last year and it was the highest ranked game since 1999. The year Arizona beat 3 1 seeds everyone thought they were amazing and has gone down as one of the best runs in history....Butler was 3 points from beating two 1's and a 2. Very impressive.

"Game for the Ages"

Are these people being serious!? Dont get me wrong the game was fun to watch, i enjoyed what i thought would be complete boredom. But lets not lose our minds, this was an average played game. I can think of TONS of champs better than this one. This game was not even the best of the tourney.. K-state Xu was played at a much higher level and was much better overall.

Wow where to begin...
MIA? Sorry I wasn't trolling message boards for hours on end hitting refresh over and over, I have a job and a fairly demanding one.
"I claim I'll beat you one on one, on bearcatnews." I'm not sure what this means, are we competing on the message board?
"You talk a big talk, but what makes you the basketball legend?" Umm you can keep your self proclaimed title there buddy and way to follow "talk" with "big talk" you sound like a caveman.
And finally "cerebral" means intellectual.
Take a deep breath, don't try to type a response, and take your frustration out at your local "Y" where I am sure they all call you a legend!

"I have a job and a fairly demanding one" - Want a cookie? Ill dunk on you.

Hvis du selv drøm av å slå meg, våkner du bedre og ber dem om unnskyldning... Do cavemen speak Norwegian fluently? I think not... Its called being an intellectual person. Unlike typing the word, I define the word.

I am a legend, I do no wrong, my streak of always being right continues on.
