If the Lakers win it all, once again Volume Shooter should not be the MVP.

He has underperformed in the playoffs, great players increase their post season numbers, he isnt.

Pau has stepped up and won games for this team. He deserves the MVP.

The Lakers are a better team when the 'others' are involved in scoring. When Odom gets 15 and 10 (Bynum getting 10 or so), the Lakers are probably going to win.
It's not all about Kobe getting 40, nor should he be looking to do so with the talent around him. Basketball is about a game of mismatches, and the Suns just can't stop Odom or Gasol.

Just so we are clear...what exactly do you mean by "underperformed"? Bryant has had:

7 games of 30+ points. The only player in NBA history to put up 30+ in 4 straight games against the Jazz. In the closing 4 mins against the Jazz in the 2nd game of the series he scored 14 points to put the team on his back and beat them. He had a very simular game (taking over in last 5) against the Jazz in game 3. He would of put up 50+ against the Suns in the 1st game of the series had he not sat out the last 9 mins of the game.

In the 2nd game of the series-he realized his shot wasnt going down and got 13 assists. His numbers against the Suns would actually be higher but the team is dominating so much he doesnt have to be on the court as much. He will win another title-no doubt about it.

LL is now on my ignore list.

LL....Kobe had 36/11/9 in the loss to the Suns last game. You must think very highly of him if you consider his play in the playoffs to be underperforming. As for the lakers- I really want Kobe to get his 5th-the only thing holding me back is Derrick F'n Fisher. The guy is the biggest flop in the NBA and the league should do us fans a favor and throw him out for good. Best case scenario? Lakers vs. Boston. Lakers win but in the series Rondo dominates Fisher so much it forces Fisher into retirement.

Also- Bosh is very interested in going to the Lakers. It would have to be a sign and trade deal and the Raptors are reporting they are interesting in Pau and Bynum. If I am the lakers- no way I get rid of Pau...But Bynum? In a heart beat. The guy is always injured and IMO wont be as good as expected. Bosh is the perfect player for the triangle offense....If this happens I could see kobe getting 7 rings before its all said and done.

What do you guys think? a Sign and trade with Bosh to the Lakers a good deal or lakers shouldnt mess with anything if they win it all this year?

If I can get Bosh for Gasol and Bynum, I do it in a second. Of course, I think the Lakers would be better off keeping Bynum if they can. Gasol is a decent player but is only really successful because teams can't double him. Could you imagine Kobe, Odom, Bosh and Bynum on the floor at the same time? Sweet Jesus.

I heard Gasol for Bosh is a very likely scenerio. If Bron goes to NYC that might change things.

Gasol will not be on the lakers next year.

The X-Factor could be if LeBron stays in Cleveland and tries to persuade Bosh to go to Cleveland. They could pull it off in a sign and trade using Jamison as part of the package.

You dont think so? If I were the Lakers I wouldnt let him go. He is the best big man in the league right now.

Also- Phil Jackson leaving LA would be unfair to Kobe. Kobe signed his extension assuming phil would be coach--and he even told Jackson he singned it expecting him to coach. If he retires thats legit--if he goes to coach the Bulls...bush league.

No way Gasol is the best big man in the league right now. Bosh is a much better player. He just was stuck on an awful Raptors team.

Just like Kobe throwing the most dominant center in the league under the bus because he didnt want to be a role player anymore? Just like why Kobe should be best freinds with Ben Rothliesibuger and Lawrence Taylor?

Yawn. Phil is the best coach of his time, he can do anything he wants and has zero to give to that clown or LA.

Let me put it this way...If he wins the championship this year there is no way he leaves LA. He would have the best team as it is--one of the top 3 big men in the league (Yes, Pau is def top 3 JasonS..many think number 1 but that could be due to his team-or they will have Bosh) and the best player in the league as he has proven in the playoffs. No matter where he goes (and the only place he would go is to coach Lebron wherever he is at) he is leaving a better team. All this talk is just to get a better deal out of LA and everyone knows it.

Disagree. If he is even better-its not "much". Have you been watching the playoffs or listening to people discuss Pau at all? Almost everyone is saying Pau is the best big in the league right now.I have watched ever Lakers game and the guy is ridiculous.

Personally- I think Dirk would be a better get then Bosh. Dirk is a stud and will opt out of his contract.

Watching Kobe bitch and complain like he normally does is comical.

lol...please explain to me again how he has "underperformed". One rebound away from a tripple double (with 36 points) two games ago and 3 rebounds away from a tripple double tonight (38 points).

5games above 35 points.
9 games above 30 points.

The guy has been the best player in the playoffs (Only other player to argue that would be Rondo). Take the glasses off and give him the props. Phil Jackson on the other hand cant seem to coach his team out of a freakin zone...pathetic.

More like two of the most overatted players in basketball (Ron Artest and Lamar Odom) cant hit a three...

Your boy Pau played SOFT tonight.

Werent you the guy claiming Pau needs/deserves the MVP if Lakers win it al?! hmm-no Kobe and Lakers are already out of the playoffs..he is the only reason they came close the last two games. His team needs to step it up.

DAMN! Good game. Tough tough break for the suns. To scratch back just to have Ron ron ripp your heart out?? damn.
