I heard Bobby Knight explain it one time. You get the lead, then you get all of your players spread out above the free throw line extended. It gives you driving Lanes. And then you just get free throw after free throw and you win going away.
I'm going to watch closer next year, but I do see this as a trend. We get in the bonus, and then we don't take advantage of it. I don't remember which other game or 2 that was earlier this year. But I definitely remember people commenting on it. It's like we made it too hard on ourselves. We're just about in the bonus, let's take advantage of it. Why is JJ shooting threes.? He's good for 1 out of 3 a game maximum. Man at this point I don't even want to think about it for a few minutes. Looking at all the places we made mistakes. All the things we could have done differently. Will we learn from it? Will we shoot less jumpshots when we're almost in the bonus? Will Cronin learn from this?
