How about the player elbowing Cumberland and him getting the foul. How about Scott's last two fouls, how about the foul on cane to let them the the game up. If you don't think that they were shitty, you are ******* retarded

The refs were calling bad fouls all game. Are the UC players and coach too ignorant to realize it and clean/tighten up their game? You have a 22-point lead, there's no reason to foul a guy going for a layup...

And when you have the ball, get the ball inside and you'll get some fouls called against the other team. You'll slow the game down so you can play your lock-down defense instead of picking up garbage fouls 30 feet away from either basket. It's common sense and I saw it happening even in the first half...

It would be fine if we had UNC, Duke, UK, or even X discipline but we don't. Too many jumpshots that were low percentage, you miss them, your D can't set up, they get transition opportunities, you don't burn as much clock as possible, you don't get them into foul trouble and slow down their rhythm, you let them back into the game. Coaching 101.
Terry just asked LD if we pumped the brakes a little too early. I think He said they didn't pump the brakes. I would say most of all we didn't stop them a few times, and too many jumpers in the second half (I saw JJ Miss a 3, then 1-2 other jumpers in a short stretch).

I agree, what was williams going to give this team in that game.

Well for starters someone that's going to attack the rim and potentially draw a foul. I'm not saying he was going to save the game but I'd rather see someone penetrating rather than moore who really only shoots 3s.

After a hot start Cumberland went cold. Same for Jacob. Evans didn't hit a jumper the whole game and was killing them going to the hoop and started settling for jumpers. Cumberland finished 5-17. His second half was awful.

Yep, people wonder, why are people so negative? The city has had some of the worst losses I have every seen in any sport.

Do you think Xavier will be as us lucky as us. No ******* way. They got God on there side. Cincinnati's name doesn't. ****** for life.

All UC had to do was play sensible defense, get the ball inside to Clark and Washington, and burn an extra 3-5 seconds here and there. That's it.

I’ve said this before. Cumberland is good for 1 half most of the time

You can win with elite defense and sensible offense. This team did not have the "sensible" part in the last 5-10 minutes of the game. Clark should have easily had 20 points by the end of the game. Washington could have had another 5-10, too if the team worked inside more.

I mean, that’s basically the same, eh?

Historically have to be in the top 30(ish) on both sides of the ball, and being elite (top 10) in one and top 30 in the other usually means you legit have a shot to win it all. I think the recent UCONN team might have been one of the few times this wasn’t true.

Evans would make a great move them would hesitate, to either draw a foul, ot because he doesn't have what it takes to be that guy. Watch the last part of the game, when ball went to cane Evans was so happy he didn't have to do shit. He is a jump shooter who shot is broken, nothing more nothing less

we killed tjem in the first half
using Evans to go to the rim. We stopped when we got up 22 and started shooting jumpers. We beat ourselves. Running clock wasn't the issue we stopped using what was working

we got some buckets with it in the 1st cause kyle wasn't in, the floor was spread and jake was getting to the rim for free. and their best defender was out of the game with fouls.

but the situation wasn't the same in the 2nd half. the 2nd half we looked awful like we had all season running that.

we had a massive advantage inside and refused to expose it. kyle was 5-9, gary was 5-6. but we had to run the jake offense jake finished 7-19.

I haven’t seen him attack the rim since December and I’ve never seen him do it against a good team. You are going to put him in the game in that moment? Come on

That is a program-killing loss.

I know everybody stressed out right now. But I don't see how It's a program killing loss. We still have all of our same strengths and weaknesses. We will continue to get some Diamonds in the Rough. But we were hoping to make a run and a bump in recruiting. So we're pretty much the same place we have been, with a new arena. Which I guess is not where we want to be. Hoping for sweet 16s three out of every five years. An elite eight every once in awhile. And dream for a final four. Not as devastating as I used to be when we lose, but this does hurt.

Except he is the only one who makes decent entry passes.

Cumberland getting hot with the shitty fouls, allowed him to sit to long. Then it was all over the last one where he didn't do shit. Team was broke. Can't stay out a game with a full ten minutes left. Cincinnati sports are ****** for life. There's no reason to ever be a fan. And we're in trouble, even though Gary looked lethargic every time we played a good team, Moore is nothing better than a hype guy. Would of liked to see Williams, Scott got to many fouls on him. Joke is to even think we were going to make it. **** Cincinnati sports

Going to make recruiting a lot harder. Lot of negative recruiting going to use this. It’s not going to help the program. I know that for sure

i am especially glad mick pulled cane last week 40 seconds after he got in after he had played great for 2 weeks. cane went right back to no confidence with awful decision making. out there afraid to make a mistake and its clear as day. he's no good like that.

really is a shame to think what could have been if we had a coach that didn't rage out on his players for every mistake they make. our guys get tight as hell and even the announcer pointed it out. saying we were out there looking like we had no idea what to do with 5 minutes left.
