Fact= it is possible that UC joins the SEC.

It is also possible that Ohio State and Michigan will leave the Big 10 and join the new Big East but it is not likely.

UC getting invited to join the SEC is very, very, unlikely.

ND is not AAU.

I stated that in my post, anyone but ND has to be AAU for a Big 10 invite. Everyone will make an exception to get ND. ND has publicaly turned down the Big 10 everytime the Big 10 invited them. ND will not give up their football independence.

You say the Big 10 only accept schools that are AAU. ND is their prized possession, yet is not AAU.
You say the Big12 will only bring in schools that will increase the $/team. Yet the commissioner has stated that they are open to taking up-and-coming programs.

You see, its just not that cut and dry as you would like it to be. When in doubt, always follow the money. ND, a non-AAU institution, is in a state the Big Ten already owns with Indiana and Purdue. Obviously, this addition would not be based on television market or their so-called AAU requirement. Clearly there is value elsewhere. The Big 12 CCG would be worth ~$20 million every year by itself. The Big 12 would be able to play 4 non-conference opponents, and not have to play 9 conference games. Splitting into divisions would give them more ranked teams and less beating up on each other. So don't be surprised to see them take a voucher on a rising program, like UC.

I'd stop at one very. (Very unlikely)
Here is what I think our chances of each conference are:
Big East: 10%
Big 12: 45%
ACC: 40%
SEC: 3%
Big 10: 1.99%
MWC/ C7: 0.01%

Jesus, give someone some time to respond.

UC adds no value to the SEC and the SEC can attract far bigger players than Cincinnati. That's a fact.

It's also possible that UC drops football, but highly unlikely.

Not ruffling any feathers, giving my opinion which is well based. The Big 10 has no where to go to expand, the 4 available ACC schools that are AAU members, a Big 10 requirement for any school but ND, Duke, UNC, Virginia, GT, have already turned the Big 10 down. That is why the Big 10 ended up with Maryland, the last available AAU school.

ACC schools will not leave the ACC for the Big 12, or any other conference. The ACC is solidly together, especially with ND coming in.

The Big 12 has stated they will not expand if it causes the current 10 to make less money. Neither UC or UConn raise the Big 12 TV rights by $25 million each. The only schools that come close to raising the TV rights $25 million each are schools such as Florida State and Miami and neither has any interest in joining the Big 12.

With the Big 10 and Big 12 unable to make moves realignment within the Power 5 is for all intents and purposes over.
There is nothing well based about your opinion above

UC adds no value to the SEC? We are in Big Ten country, in the same state as arguably the most dominant team in the conference. The SEC added Texas A&M, from the heart of the Big 12. Considering the dramatic increase in enrollment and recruiting, surely the SEC finds some value in taking a stab at the Big Ten.

Taking a stab at the big ten by inviting cincinnati doesn't make any sense at all.

Agreed. I think people are forgetting that all this conference realignment has to do with TV and getting exposure in new regions. That's the whole reason why the Big 10 picked up Rutgers and Maryland. Its why the Big 12 picked up WVU. These power conferences want to get access to new markets. Therefore UC has no chance of going to the Big 10.

It could happen. Prez Ono is cool with Gov. Kasich. There is no way Ohio, the 7th most populated stated, will be left with only ONE BCS program. Not when Iowa, Indiana, Oregon, Washington, Kansas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Tennessee, north Carolina, south Carolina, etc. All have 2 schools in power conferences. However, the only way I can see Big 10 is if they go to 20 or 24.

if you think the governor is going to be the uc could get offered by the big ten, you are simply oblivious. money is going to get uc into whatever conference they get into. uc has no money to offer the big ten that they don't already have. zero chance we get big 10. best chance is for big then to steal acc's money in ga tech, and then for the sec to take fsu. two openings available go to uc and UConn.

I wonder how the cash-cows Rutgers and Maryland got into the big ten. It's not all about how much money a school has, it all boils down to potential earnings. I'm not saying we are going to the SEC or Big 10, I'm only saying I would not be surprised if it happened. Noone knows how everything will all shake out, none of us at least. Instead of being a Debbie downer like some of you on here, I'm just saying anything is possible in conference realignment. Who would have thought Rutgers and Maryland to big ten? We have a great balance of academics, athletics and geography and will not be left out.

NYC and dc/baltimore. That's how Rutgers and Maryland got in

Big 10 already has ohio locked up. Uc will never be invited

SEC doesn't have Ohio locked up... nor does the ACC or Big 12. You're missing my point. UC will get into a power conference. There are many factors that influence the decision for a conference to expand.

Its all about TV exposure and adding the Big 10 to the east coast in huge areas as those two schools is exactly why they got added. Its all about tha dolla dolla bill yalllllll

What is happening is this-we are going to get invited into the ACC, but it will be like the BE all over again, as we will replace ACC teams that left for the B10 and thus, it will be the BE 2.0 w/o Catholics. Great for basketball, okay for football.

When is this invite to the ACC going to happen?

As no ACC school is going to leave the ACC, the schools are solidly committed to the ACC especially now that ND is joining, it will take a decision by the ACC to expand to 17 teams for UC to have an opportunity. Even then UC could be behind UConn, Navy (the ACC market vacated by Maryland), and USF for a spot.
