ND is not AAU.
↑ opinion
Fact= it is possible that UC joins the SEC.
ND is not AAU.
It is also possible that Ohio State and Michigan will leave the Big 10 and join the new Big East but it is not likely.
UC getting invited to join the SEC is very, very, unlikely.

I'd stop at one very. (Very unlikely)
Here is what I think our chances of each conference are:
Big East: 10%
Big 12: 45%
ACC: 40%
SEC: 3%
Big 10: 1.99%
MWC/ C7: 0.01%
There is nothing well based about your opinion aboveNot ruffling any feathers, giving my opinion which is well based. The Big 10 has no where to go to expand, the 4 available ACC schools that are AAU members, a Big 10 requirement for any school but ND, Duke, UNC, Virginia, GT, have already turned the Big 10 down. That is why the Big 10 ended up with Maryland, the last available AAU school.
ACC schools will not leave the ACC for the Big 12, or any other conference. The ACC is solidly together, especially with ND coming in.
The Big 12 has stated they will not expand if it causes the current 10 to make less money. Neither UC or UConn raise the Big 12 TV rights by $25 million each. The only schools that come close to raising the TV rights $25 million each are schools such as Florida State and Miami and neither has any interest in joining the Big 12.
With the Big 10 and Big 12 unable to make moves realignment within the Power 5 is for all intents and purposes over.
UC adds no value to the SEC? We are in Big Ten country, in the same state as arguably the most dominant team in the conference. The SEC added Texas A&M, from the heart of the Big 12. Considering the dramatic increase in enrollment and recruiting, surely the SEC finds some value in taking a stab at the Big Ten.
Taking a stab at the big ten by inviting cincinnati doesn't make any sense at all.
It could happen. Prez Ono is cool with Gov. Kasich. There is no way Ohio, the 7th most populated stated, will be left with only ONE BCS program. Not when Iowa, Indiana, Oregon, Washington, Kansas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Tennessee, north Carolina, south Carolina, etc. All have 2 schools in power conferences. However, the only way I can see Big 10 is if they go to 20 or 24.
NYC and dc/baltimore. That's how Rutgers and Maryland got inI wonder how the cash-cows Rutgers and Maryland got into the big ten. It's not all about how much money a school has, it all boils down to potential earnings. I'm not saying we are going to the SEC or Big 10, I'm only saying I would not be surprised if it happened. Noone knows how everything will all shake out, none of us at least. Instead of being a Debbie downer like some of you on here, I'm just saying anything is possible in conference realignment. Who would have thought Rutgers and Maryland to big ten? We have a great balance of academics, athletics and geography and will not be left out.

Its all about TV exposure and adding the Big 10 to the east coast in huge areas as those two schools is exactly why they got added. Its all about tha dolla dolla bill yalllllll
What is happening is this-we are going to get invited into the ACC, but it will be like the BE all over again, as we will replace ACC teams that left for the B10 and thus, it will be the BE 2.0 w/o Catholics. Great for basketball, okay for football.
