New Mexico

Far from dominating performance against Xavier. They were missing two of their players during a critical and still meaningful part of the game.

This team will have their hands full against New Mexico.

Hate that I'm going to miss this game, but I will be in Charlotte for the Belk Bowl. Just need to find a good bar near the stadium to hit to watch the second half. My seats will be filled by some good Bearcat fans though. As far as the game is concerned. I think a home game and a late tip and a ranked opponent will only add to why the Bearcats will come out sharp for this one. They haven't shot well for two weeks so they're due, right?

The score is irrelevant. We decimated eggs u

You lose credibility every time you post.

Xavier was playing shorthanded. And UC still failed to blow them out. A 15- point win isn't decimating your opponent.

I have UC going undefeated in OOC also. But New Mexico will be a good test, and UC will far from "decimate" them.

You guys are getting way too hyped over what BearcatMick has to say. You're not going to get him to admit he was wrong.

I think it's going to be a pretty tight game, and we win by around 12. If our offense finally gets it together and can be more consistent, I think we can win by 23. NM hasn't really faced a team like us, and although they were unbeaten for a while, they weren't exactly dominating these subpar teams. I don't think they're ready for a team like us.

I don't care if I get to BM. I just enjoy insulting his idiot ass.

Xavier wasn't short handed, Christon was a complete non-factor after the first half, of the first half. Dee Davis got exploited.
You take away the first half and that's easily 20+ victory.
As it stands, 60-45 isn't a competitive score anyway. It more or less is a blow out.
With New Mexico, my concern is with how athletic are they?
I look at their roster and their guards are big enough to cause some match up problems.

Exactly. Mp and the rest seem to think the crosstown classic was close in the middle of the 2nd half. It wasn't. X was never in the game late. It was a clinic in coaching from mick

New Mexico is much better than x, although everyone is, but they will struggle to compete against us. Uc by 10-15

I wouldn't say a "coaching clinic." His players made shots and eggs didn't. He is an excellent coach defensively and strategically and can really motivate players. Offensively, we tend to live or die by shooting and we do this "pass it around the perimeter" crap. We need to get down the lane! It is early and they do this every year, I am positive it will get better, but it is so frustrating at times. The three things that this team does well no matter what: hustle, rebound, and play d. That alone will keep you in games and if we can improve offensively, we are definitely top 10 caliber.

I was at the game, moron. It was an 8 point game with 7 minutes left. Sk then hit a 3 to make it an 11 point difference. Christon, their best player, played very little in he second half because of cramps. Dee Davis also was limited because of cramps. It was an unimpressive victory by the 11th ranked team in the country, and I didn't leave thinking that this was a coaching clinic. But the again, I don't have my head up Cronin ass like you do, thus my vision isn't clouded.

Btw, if New Mexico is much better that XU, and UC 'decimated' XU by 15, shouldn't it be a closer game than a 10-15 point victory? Or are you saying that UC will 'decimate' NM, just like you 'decimate' everyone arguments? LOL.

I was at the game too. The score wasn't indicative of how much uc dominated x. X was never in the game after Uc's run in the 2nd half. Mick coached circles around Mack after halftime and you know it. Uc was toying with them and it effected the score. It was domination though and uc didn't even play well particularly in the 1st half or shoot well from 3

New Mexico is much better and mick knows this. The players know this. They will be on their A game. That's why I'm saying 10-15

If you were at the game and still hold on to the opinion that UC 'decimated' XU, then you are a bigger moron than I imagined, if that's possible. When you have better players, you should win, and UC did. During Mick's first 2 years at UC, did all the coaches in the BE coach circles around Mick, or did they have better players? BTW, 'decimated' is what XU did to UC last year, as that game wasn't as close as the score. The 15 point difference this year was the largest lead of the game, and wasn't indicative of how close the game was.

It's looking as though New Mexico is going to drop out of the rankings. Going from a great matchup of top 15 teams to a game most will overlook again. We got really unlucky as usual

Stop arguing with him! Why acknowledge any thought he has?

Back to the original topic...New Mexico fell out of the top 25 today. Makes the game on Thursday lose a little of it's luster; still a big game though.

Meh. New Mexico dropped out of the rankings, but they are a solid #13 in the rpi. Still a good rpi game.

No kidding. He is a lonely old man with some obvious mental illness going on. On NM, I look forward to seeing what the Cats can do.

I look for more of the same. A close game in the first half, and then the shots start to fall and the cats win by 15. The eggs game was not as close as the score. Even when they were losing, I knew they would win by atleast 10. The Xavier players were cramping because they had given it all they had. I was glad for the win, but beating X always feels empty. I just hate to lose to them..

UC needs to play with a greater sense of purpose. This team has the physical ability to be very good, but mentally they have to take the next step of applying themselves to every posession.

UC's pressure defense caused XU players to cramp. You cannot simulate UC's defense in practice. After UC made their run to start the second half, I knew the game was over. You could tell the XU guards were wearing down already and they don't have any big guys that scare you.

As for New Mexico, I think it will be close early but then UC will pull away as the game goes on. New Mexico is a little deeper than XU but I don't expect this to be closer than 10 at the end of the day.

I don't know why we are agreeing so much as of late but you are absolutely correct
