Don't look now, but Notre Dame is down by 19 to Marquette with 7 mins left. Momma always said when you play in the Big East....you never know what you're gonna get.
I think most people that think with their head and not their heart knew UC would lose at Villanova. There's a reason they've won 45 straight games at home. They're good and at home they're very good. Defensively they go to a whole different level at home.
Cincinnati is now 3-1 against current top rpi 100 teams. RealTime projects Dayton. Miami and Xavier all to be quality wins. Their SOS will start nose driving after the S. Florida game. If they can somehow beat South Florida, and win 2 of 3 from Syracuse, Notre Dame, and St. Johns, they are going to be in a real good position. Easier said than done but I think they can pull it off.
If they can win 2 of those 3 road games, I would be ecstatic. That's a tough one to pull off. I think there's an echo in here, but the fact is winning on the road in the BEast, is tough.
This is exactly why games like tomorrow against USF are must haves for this team. You just can't count on winning road games against anyone decent in the BE so you can't afford to give away home games. No margin for error.
