Clark with a double double, and good performance from Morman. Didn't see much of Shaq or Sanders in the second half. Ellis was also pretty good. Caupain and Johnson were non existant.

Ellis has to control his temper a little better. I get he was frustrated but he has to keep himself composed.

I am excited about the Clark and Ellis front court. The guards HAVE to get the ball to the high and low post though....that has been a real struggle this season. Morman might just be the best passer, the line up with him and Johnson can be good in the press.

The beginning of the 2nd half is what doomed us. We could play that game again right now and we might win...but since we can't we might as well learn from the mistakes that cost us the game. Like someone said earlier, we weren't going to go undefeated. We have a lot of things to work on, but that's ok bc so do a lot of teams. We didn't get away with sloppy play tonight so hopefully it is a wake up call. We need to become a much better passing team. We have all said that all year so maybe now that we lost the guys will start to really understand what doesn't work. Morman needs to be on the floor. He can get anywhere he wants. He is an outstanding athlete and looked good at the line too. Keep working and keep learning. We ran into a team that outplayed us tonight. Onto the next one.

UC shot 28% today. Mick, please don't rant about how bad your defense was in the post game. Even if that's what you talk to the team about, just humor us fans and pretend like you care about scoring points just a little bit.

Yea those 2 unforced turnovers to start the second half really screwed them up, 5pt deficit turned to 10 before they ran down the court

If Quadri improves throughout the year he could really help us. He just needs to learn how to play stronger with the ball.

And the first thing Mick said was he doesnt want to talk about offense, lol

Mick must be reading my posts!! I said earlier that UC needs to do a much better job of passing to the high and low posts. Ellis and Clark are our most consistent players thus far.

Caupain was big time exposed tonight.. He's incapable of defending major college point guards. His lack of quickness affected us in attacking the zone also. With him and Sanders in there together, we looked inept against that zone because they're so slow. That's a team picked 6th in SEC, got beat by Charleston Southern, gave up 66 to Charleston Southern, 64 to Troy, 74 to N. Arizona, and they held us to 52. Would like to think our offense was an anomaly, but we've been watching this for 9 years. 4 different games...2 for 16, 2 for 14, 2 for 13, and 2 for 19 from three....yet the coaching continues to give them no options other than pass it around the 3-pt. Line and jack up something stupid.

Morman needs to play. It was telling that when we finally made a run, Caupain was on the bench and Morman was making things happen. He is one of the few on this team with quickness and athleticism. Clark and Ellis were pretty good. I said we would know a lot more about this team after this weekend. Last night was really good, but we finally played a decent team tonight and we looked bad. Time to regroup against Stoney Brook, take a couple weeks off for finals and then brace ourselves for a difficult stretch if tonight is any indication of what is to come.

Four games in seven days is tough. We have a cupcake on Tuesday and our next game is in two weeks. We'll have plenty of time in the gym to work on things. We lost tonight because we got out executed. Ole miss looked good because they're shots fell. Had those circus shots not all gone in and we shot a normal percentage then it's a different game. That's how the cookie crumbles some nights. We fought hard till the buzzer and we'll have plenty of tape to watch. I thought we outplayed them in second half, they just hit everything and went on a run. We attacked the zine much better and forced them into some fouls.

2 for 19 from three is pretty close to our normal percentage.

When Cobb goes out earlier this week and makes a statement that he's used to the rims and goes 1-9 shooting tonight, c'mon man. He's only had one game that he's been productive in so far this year. In my opinion, a Tony Bobbitt in the making.
