I think so.

Colloras won't miss a beat.

Hazelton and Binns will be the best receiving combo in the country in my biased opinion.

IMO it all depends on the coach. I agree on Colloras-infact I fully believe he will be better then Pike was for us this season simply because of his running ability.

I believe we will be better on D as well. Lose a couple guys up front but we have capable replacements.

We return a lot of talent at LB and the corners will be better. We will have more talent in the secondary.

I believe Iasiah Pead will have a big time year. We will be able to run the ball with a lot more consistency next year.

Colloras is a winner. Can't explain it but you know it when you see it.

2010 is going to be all about if Vidal Hazelton lives up to expectations, Zach picks up from where he left off, the defense improves and whether Darrin Williams can fill Mardy's shoes in kickoff duty. It's really that simple.

The defense will determine our fate, as well as replacing some key guys on the OL.

On paper I think this is a better team heading into the season than last years team was at the same point. The defense losses some productive players, but the spine of the defense is as strong if not stronger than it was last year. Frey, Wolfe, Schaffer and Battle are some great young pieces to base your defense around. Those four have Sunday potential if they progress this off season as much as they did last off season. The offense should be in very good shape, the defense will probably be a touch more talented and experienced, and the special teams will be down a tick. But on paper this team is as good or better than the 07, 08 and 09 teams were on paper.

Mopper I agree wholeheartedly! Especially on Drew Frye. He is a smart kid and will continue to grow and learn what it takes to play this game at such a high level. Plus he has the advantage of having used two medical redshirt years and so is going into only his 2nd year of eligibility but his fourth year of college. That is huge!

That is a great point about Frey. He is going to be a leader out there. I am also very high on our entire D line and JK and Stewart as well.

On paper....definitely. Collaros, Pead, and Binns add serious game experience to offensive skill positions. If Hazelton performs as expected, this team scores more points than last year's team.

On top of that, our O-line and our entire defense was very young last year. All those young guys not only got a year older, they started for the BE champion for the entire year. They know what it takes to win a championship.

Of course this is all on paper. The intangibles of desire, dedication, etc. should not be discounted.
