Good people make mistakes sometimes and say things that they shouldn't say. You consistently show your true character by egging people on and just being a nuisance. If I were moderator of this board, you would be banned for over a month because of how you continue to push everyone's buttons. Childish behavior should be added to the list of offenses that can lead to banishment. Have you noticed the one element of the equation that hasn't changed, no matter who has been banned? You are always involved somehow, and it gets old. It's time for you to grow up....

Here's the thing JJ5. I have gotten the same thing said to me concerning you through PM's. You don't ban someone because they push someones buttons. You ban someone for taking away from the board. If we all would be more adult some of this so called "button pushing" wouldn't get to us so much now would it?

My point in bringing this up is to illustrate we all push people's buttons at time.

Here's the issue from my viewpoint. People get called Trolls, Like B_NTS who aren't. He simply takes a less emotional view of the program. That doesn't mean he isn't a big UC fan. I know he is and I like what he contributes even though him and I have had our differences.

I wanted to send a message to UCALUM08 (and others) that it is never acceptable to use foul langauge toward another poster. If you let someone under your skin that is partially on you but it cannot spiral to a personal attack and cussing at someone. I have lifted UCALUM08's ban because he has been a good member and I think he is intelligent enough to know why I did what I did and believe it won't happen again.

Lastly, there are a myriad of personalities to deal with on here and it isn't always easy to determine when someone has crossed the line. Yes some people stir the pot, but some are simply thin skinned. I will always draw the line at vulgar personal attacks even when I let some other things go. I do this simply as a volunteer so if someone wants to take over let the other mods know and if they feel you can do it better so be it.

Jeff, you do a great job moderating this board and I definitely don't envy your position. I realize that it is tough to draw the line, but have you realized that NTS has been a constant, no matter who it is that is being banned? I think he is a fan of the program and he just likes to use stats, and I respect that. But he has to respect that other people are more emotionally attached to the program, and I don't think he understands that. Respect is a two way street.

First, I love the C.S. Lewis quote. Secondly, we all just need to let others express themselves without taking it so personal. My concerns are, 1) Do you personally attack people 2) Are there underlying intentions behind your comments (program/coach bashing in spite of success) and 3) Do you intentionally spiral threads off course?

I realize that I may push buttons at times. Thus, I have toned down recently and been more willing to agree to disagree. NTS only does this because he knows he can get away with it. The lesson that I learned and the lesson that I hope UCAlum learned is that PMing is the better way to go. Sometimes, it is easy to let your emotions get the best of you when you are posting, and you have to practice self-restraint.

On that we'll agree to disagree and put this to bed.

Fair enough. I do have to inform you that I will be changing my quote, but I'm sure you will enjoy the new one. To get back on topic, are there any games on today?

Big C.S. Lewis fan. Yes UVA/Maryland and OSU/MSU are good games today. Matter of fact Maryland leads UVA right now.

I am also a big C.S. Lewis fan, as I am currently reading "Mere Christianity" (excellent book, I highly recommend it if you haven't read it). Go MSU and go UVA!

Wow Maryland fouled up 3, lost the defense rebound out of bounds and Virginia tied it up! I still believe in fouling because a lot more things have to go in the opposing team's favor to tie the game. Poor Terps.

The Terps should have probably guarded the inbound play. I'm not sure how you give up a layup off the inbound pass in that situation.

I do not understand how simply telling a poster that a coin flip has a 50/50 chance warranted a threatening personal attack or how simply commenting how my lack of fandom for the Bengals required a poster to use profanity against me. That is a lack of respect.

I will not say anything more on this topic. Just setting the record straight.

It is just so tough to win on the road in today's college basketball.

Gutsy performance by Maryland to recover after being stunned. The Terps had really close loses to Duke, Pitt and Syracuse. They easily could have been in contention for a bid if a few of those games went the other way.

Believe it or not, studies by Ken Pomeroy and John Ezekowitz have actually found that there is no advantage to either strategy.

Jeff, I would like to thank you for lifting my ban. I will be the first person to admit wrong and what I said was wrong.

NTS I am sorry for the inappropriate language towards you. I just don't understand why you chose to literally comment on every single one of my post and try to make a point that I am wrong. I could say the sky is blue and you would probably try to prove its not. I def. had enough of it and took it as blatant disrespect. But once again, I do apologize.

JumpingJack5 and #Bearcat nation thanks for the kind words and sticking up for my side, I appreciate that. I do respect all you guys and glad I am back.

Sorry Jeff, one more thing.

It's just the way certain things are worded. Ending a sentence with an ellipsis can really aggravate some people, even when your tone wouldnt dictate as much.
