Kennedy for SMU hurt his ankle tripping over a photographer under the basket and headed to the locker room.

I never understood why those people are so close to the banging bodies down low. SMU people are giving the photog some guff, and rightfully so IMO.

SMU just isn't that good away from Moody. Louisville is the team that really won this coin toss. They got a bye to the finals.

Yeah, the definitely tricked me into buying in after how they dominated UConn. However UConn really hasn't been playing well down the stretch. I still think UC is a very bad match up for Memphis but given Houston as the alternative...it is a no brainer (now watch SMU come back and win this one).

Thats why I wanted the 2 seed. Never understood why UC fans acted like we just won the conference outright after winning the number one seed.

I definitely wanted the #2 seed, but at least this way we'll have another shot at a quality win (assuming a win tonight). Beating Houston doesn't exactly do much for the resume.

Good point. Winning today and tomorrow gives us the opportunity to play on to the 3 line.

Why do teams keep making the mistake of trying to beat pressure by forcing a pass to teammate standing directly under the opposing basket??? Missouri just coughed up a 2 point lead with seconds left in OT on a bad turnover that went for an easy layup. Clemson did the same thing against Pitt last Saturday.

Xavier is going to need some help to NOT get in, they have about a 4-5 team buffer before they fall out.

I definitely won't be watching that game, especially with UConn-Memphis on at the same time.

Never assume. In Andy Kennedy's season, UC was a 9 seed in Lunardi's bracketology the morning of Selection Sunday. Didn't get in.

I guess there is some parallel because one of the rec spec twins Stainbrook is hurt, but I do not think there is going to be a team that will EVER be screwed as bad as UC was that year (Missouri State also should have gotten in). The extra 4 bids helps too...
