Some of you will spin anything. I've been a fan of Lance but his antics are way over the top and are pretty embarrassing and worst of all it's hurting his team.

I'd love to see what you all would say of these antics if someone that didn't go to UC was doing them.

I just don't get why people are taking it so seriously. He's just goofing around and not being an a-hole towards anyone. Do I think what he's doing is good? No, but I don't necessarily think it's bad either. I don't think you can prove what he's doing is hurting the team. LeBron dropped 7 on 2/10 shooting Wednesday night. I don't think what he's doing is having an impact on anything. It's just getting publicity because it's entertaining and funny. Making something out of nothing.

Its reason EVERY year somebody wants to beat lebron up or say ref cheated for him and his team. Lebron should've got technical for the way he shook rim and smacked backboard on first basket. Kids in lil league follow u to bench now during free throws nothing wrong there and blowing in his ear is payback for following him around court all game.

Right. Should be a technical for hanging on the rim but blowing in a guys ear is no big deal.

Its all apart of game. I want real deal no help from refs hard fought do what it takes to win basketball. I'll rather have 5 Stephenson than 5 Paul George any day of week. I don't know when did Bird became so much of basketball saint either him and his Boston teammates were 100x worse than any antic Lance could've did. I believe if he backed Lance instead of always treating him like poor project child Indiana would've beaten Miami in finals by now. I'VE NEVER SEEN MANAGEMENT OR TEAMMATES THROW A PLAYER UNDER BUS LIKE INDIANA DID LANCE.

I root for Lance, he was a Bearcat and he still represents the University of Cincinnati like it or not. But I thought he was a punk before he got here and I think he is a punk still. As far as the antics he displayed in the series with the Heat I'm 50-50 on it. Playoff series' have a way of bringing out some weird things. The Heat and Pacers are new rivals and Lance has a history of trying to get into LeBron's head. I'm for stuff like that if a: you don't mind looking like an ass b: it's effective, c: your teammates don't mind or they encourage it and d: you don't go overboard and cheapshot someone. I think a is fine for Lance and b maybe it worked a little, c seemed to definitely not be the case and d was getting close. In his defense I will say Lance owned his actions and played hard when I think some of his teammates didn't. But bottom line is they lost, his teammates keep calling him out and he's been made to look like a punk. We all know Lance's background and how he plays the game. There are going to be cocky players and there are going to be instigators. And with those are going to come haters. Lance owns up to what he does so I at least respect that but if you want to be the best and want to be respected none of his actions save his toughness and hard work are ways to go about getting those things. Simply put Lance needs to grow up and realize you can be good at basketball without having to be the toughest kid on the block. That seems to be his mentality and while he plays bully the guy he's trying to bully doesn't really buy into it and quietly does his thing and is great. Lance will never lose his toughness or his edge as that's what makes him him, but he definitely has alot to learn about the real world and alot of maturing to do.

I think the option D about not going overboard is the thing here. It became a distraction. LeBron has been through the freaking ringer and he is the best player in the world, do you think any of those antics, or just the media coverage in general was getting in his head? Yeah right. If Lance was more grown up, he might have realized that and not allowed himself to get so wrapped up in the emotion. Remember when Ruben Patterson was the Kobe stopper? He didnt act like Lance on the floor and he was respected a good player. He was making almost $7 mill per year back then and was an important part of a good team. Lance is more dynamic offensively and more explosive overall but I wish he'd have the hard working, serious, grown man attitude all the time. If he signs with a non-playoff team and is the highest paid player, I think that would be the worst thing in the world for his career.

I agree, the thing is his antics aren't what superstars do. It's what you bring in a guy off the bench to do if you even choose to do it at all. I don't know if he got into LeBron's head but he definitely annoyed him and maybe that helped him just a little, but his teammates hated it and hated the distraction. And typically when you do that you only motivate that player even more. As for your last statement I agree. Being the big dog will not be good for him at least how he stands now. The problem is he's kind of shown he can't be a productive member of a good team and a role player. Someone will sign him but I doubt he'll go to a contender. I wish him the best and will continue to root for him. I think it's safe to say my Pacer's Stephenson shirt has seen it's last use though.

The media coverage of all major sports/news events has gone too far. I simply cannot watch TV unless it is for a specific sporting event. Lance scored 11 points in the first portion of the first half and was the only one up to the challenge last night. I want Lance to do well but the Pacers were very easy to root against. I'm not a Paul George supporter at all, he is a very good player but there is a MAJOR distinction between James/Durant and George. Those guys are extremely consistent over the regular and post seasons. Hell, I'm not so sure I'd take Paul George over Damian Lillard.

Agree and agree. The media and even social media has turned sports into a soap opera. As far as Lance I watched the game last night with a Heat fan and he was atagonizing me about Lance and I kept saying at least he's fighting. The rest of the team looked like they had just given up or were waiting for someone else to do something. I don't watch enough NBA to have a real opinion on Paul George. The talent seems there but he doesn't seem upper echelon. My friend was making the same point about his inconsistencies in the regular and post season. I will say historically it takes even superstars a while to show their mettle in the postseason. Maybe Goerge just doesn't have the experience yet.

Paul George is good. Borderline top 10 player. Probably 8-13ish. The Pacers would be better though I think if they had an elite scoring PG to play in the backcourt with Lance with no Paul George.

Hibbert should get as much blame now as ever. Social media bashed him so much earlier though everyone got tired of him and moved on to blaming Lance. He didnt help himself either knowing it was all magnified.

Ill rather have 5 lance Stephenson than 7 Paul George. I respect any player that will fight and do anything to win. Lance would be crazy if he re- sign with Indy.

hibbert, west, vogel. West literally went after zero rebounds last night. Vogel, no way he doesn't play Turner over Watson and Butler

David West is the reason why they even beat Atlanta or Washington. He and Lance are the only two Pacers with the correct mentality.

I have a feeling heads are going to roll in Indy this summer. Bird is the ultimate competitor and I can't imagine how much it pained him to watch the Pacers sleepwalk through the 2nd half the season and playoffs. I expect major roster changes and possibly a coaching change this offseason.
