This doesn't mean much at all for the AAC (in terms of perception). This is all about UConn and their run, I will not diminish it by trying to take some conference pride.

I think this does raise the perception of the AAC. They finished 4th in the regular season how could it not raise the perception?

Football still runs the show not basketball! UC still has a better football program just not the fan base in basketball. We will see!

I don't buy that. People say that way too often. It is just a highly competitive game....

A highly competitive game can still be ugly. A lot of bricks and unforced turnovers. The second half was better but when I typed that this game was ugly, UCONN hadn't scored in about 8 minutes and MSU was only up 2.

You know what is NOT ugly basketball? UK and Michigan. They run offense, shoot well and each have multiple pros playing. Big difference between UCONN game and this one.

I think it says the conference now has one team capable of making it deep in the tournament. And everyone else in the league will try to show how good they are by attempting to beat them.

I shouldn't say punching their ticket, I should say building the best resume to be the first out. Large fan base, national recognition, basketball success, a d1 football team, and on the east coast.

There were an awful lot of empty seats at UCONN home games this year.

The Michigan fans started cheering before Nik Stauskas even shoots. He truly is the definition of automatic. UC doesn't need someone who is as good as Stauskas, but I wish they had someone who could be a knockdown shooter.

UC could use a shooter? Haven't heard that before. Brilliant insight....

You clearly haven't seen Nik Stauskas play live, it even further reinforces the need to have a good shooter. He caused the UK defense to focus on him, leaving others open. When they would guard the three point line, he would drive it right down their throats. He is just great to watch, you know it is going to go in right out of his hand.
