Guys the Coach has got the biggest most important stretch of the season coming up. Each game could determine the fate of making the tournament. Do you really think he is giving more then lip service. I bet he would rather be watching game film and prepping for the game rather then having a mic stuck in his face. Interviews at this point are not high on his priority list I'm sure. I could literally think of at least 10 things he would rather be doing.

Sure thing. But continuing to lie every year gets old.

Mick is trying to balance winning and playing to the strengths of his personnel with playing a up tempo style. Myself I'm more concerned with winning. Like everyone else I would like to be a run and gun type of team but you need to have the horses to do that. I'm sure Mick understands he needs to attract some recruits who can fit that style. To this point that hasn't happened. The reasons have been beat to death. I'll leave it at that. Get in the tourney and make some noise.

Waite, for years people have complained that we have guys who are more athlete than basketball player. Those are the kind of guys who are better in the open court.

Jacob, takes lots more then athletes. Our PG has been anything but a quick get up the floor player. Pushing the pace and run and gun are different. Limiting possessions was a need in big east. I think you'll see us change as we add more pieces.

Is anyone asking for run and gun? That'll never happen here bc defense and rebounding are our core principles. And I don't think anyone wants to sacrifice that.

Time will tell. Rebounding and defense are the core of many championship teams. By the way I would like a run and gum style.one of my favorite college teams was the runnin rebels. They ran, guarded and rebounded.

Mick has to say that stuff publicly for recruiting purposes. I just think it's hilarious that he's already started it.

I really was hoping Jenifer would be that guy who would take us to that kind of pace after Troy left. I'm not so sure now. Unless he can improve his shot going forward I don't know if he can be THE GUY. Hope I'm wrong.

Next years squad seems like with Scott and Washington we may be a quicker paced team. To be a flat out get out on the break kind of team we need different personnel. We may push the pace a bit more next year but with Troy running the team we are just not a fast team. Not only that but I really think the offense will run through the bigs next year. Washington and Clark will be big time producers. My worry next year is still finding that wing player that can attract defensive attention to create room for them. Evans improving his % as well as Troy and KJ would be a very good start.

I know it's been said in here that Troy isn't really fast enough to be the up tempo guy but I don't think that's true at all. He has plenty of speed even if he's not the fastest...he's also a decent finisher.

The problem I have with Troy (and I don't have many) is that even if he pushes the ball but doesn't see a clear advantage he pulls up to run the offense. Just because there are defenders back does not mean they have had a chance to set up their defense yet. He should try (every once in a while) to continue pushing and try to disrupt them from setting up the D rather than always pulling up to let them get set up.

I really believe we are missing out on creating some good looks because we chose to set up the offense before trying to make something happen first. We will always have a chance to reset the offense if it doesn't work.

i agree at times being a bit more aggressive wouldn't hurt. As far as speed goes he just doesn't have it. He'll get in the lane but more on strength instead of speed and quickness. He is a good steady hand that takes care of the ball.

I'm just glad his fg % is increasing. I knew it seemed too low and he was going to get going.

Are you talking about Caupain? His FG% is 37.4% overall. It is 35.9% in AAC play, 35.1% last 5 games, and 21.7% (5-23) in the last 2 games. Not increasing.

For us to finish the year like we all want somebody needs to start knocking down some shots besides Clark consistently. Our wings have been getting lots of looks but we are not making them. When we get some scoring from our backcourt we are a very good team. I'll also add that when Ellis can stay on the floor we are good as well.

I guess I Should have done some research first. I just feel like he's been doing a lot better and been more consistent especially on 3s but he did have the game against ucf where he was what, 1-10? Anyway I still think he's a better scorer/shooter than his state will tell if that makes any sense
