Jake it also doesn't factor in the pressure he applies to the defense and the pitcher. If he can continue to get on base at a exceptable rate he can have a huge impact on this teams offensive capabilities.

Yep agree 100%. Last weekend vs the Giants he led off with a slow chopper up the middle and the rookie Christian Arroyo was filling in for Crawford and bobbled it for an error. The Reds got 2 off Cueto that inning. They were unearned runs and Hamilton was 0-1 but that was absolutely bc Arroyo freaked out knowing Hamilton was running and got sped up.

Sadly, none of the young guys have shown that they can even make it through 3 innings. Not sure what can be done.
That has been a problem. That said, Romano is back off the DL and Reed through 7 strong innings last time out in Louisville. I would give Robert Stephenson a start.

Stephenson isn't going to make it as a starter. I feel pretty sure about that. I guess those other guys could get another shot. But it hasn't gone well up to this point. And honestly, can't believe I'm saying this, but Bonilla should get bumped before Arroyo. He's no good.

Jake,Stephenson may not make it as a starter but in my mind it is still way to early to give up on a guy with the raw stuff he possesses. I like what the reds are doing with him now. I think you'll see him in the rotation at some point in the season.

He is 24 with 8 GS. Very premature, his minor numbers were never stellar so hard to say what his ceiling is

Minors (5 seasons)
Minors 33 - 41 .446 3.94

Reds ERA for all pitchers 4.85, tied for worst in NL, starters ERA 5.98, that is with Feldman, Arroyo Bonilla and Adelman, heck of a job by Price to be where they are. What do you propose, the Reds do not have infinite pitchers, put Lorenzen in Rotation and weaken pen? Mahle is not ready to be thrown in MLB, guess we will see what Jackson Stephens has. Have to wait for bodies to be healthy, Romano, Desclafani and Bailey all returning. Stephenson and Reed are not stepping up where they should show some signs. Blake wood looks like Hoover 2.0

Suarez playing GG worthy Defense, 3 errors in 136 chances

I guess give Luis Castillo a whirl? Idk. He's in AA now but he's also 24. Maybe not the smartest move. I guess it is what it is. Kind of why I stopped whining about Arroyo...but I guess I just sort of switched to Bonilla. Oh well, it's not about this year anyway.

How you guys doing in fantasy?

I'm 8-2 in my points league and in 1st and I have a huge lead in points.

In roto (1 hitter 1 P keeper) I'm in 3rd. Just traded Darvish (15th rd), Fulmer, Myers, and Cozart for Sale, Braun, and Lucroy, then added JA Happ with my extra spot. I'm going for it. I have to defend my championship.

I'm 9-1 in 1st (out of 8), 7-3 in 2nd (10), 8-12 in 8th (12) in my points leagues. My head to head leagues I'm 74-37-9 in 2nd (10) place, 76-59-5 in 3rd (12) and 40-54-6 in 8th (10).

I successfully sold Eric Thames high trading him straight up for Daniel Murphy about a month ago. That's the only trade I've made, the rest of the league is pissed at me, haha. Im looking good in every league but one. Even the one league I'm 8 of 10 my team is better than that, just really bad luck with injuries and match ups. My big money league, the dynasty league is the one I'm most struggling. I got 7 starters on DL and no way to change that. Just going to be a lost season.

Doing the math, I am seeing maybe a problem but just maybe. Can the reds sign every one even if Greene would sign for 6.5 mill. It is a great draft with two pitchers in the teens wanting more money. What if the reds do not sign Hunter and sign everyone else. would that be all bad ?? They would have two picks in the top 10 next year with their record and pick third for Hunter Greene.
