Help Support BearcatTalk:

I finally am with everyone else on KJ god he is awful. My concern is who we have behind him because right now JJ is the only one who looks like they can play against high level competition.

Defensive rebounding lost us that game. There where other issues in the second half for sure but D rebounding was the most glaring.

P.S. Has anyone put out a missing persons on Gary Clark yet, what a joke.

Cronin making excuses. Drives me nuts.

"Rhode Island has been prepping for this game for 3 years" "This is a home game for them"

Ugh.

People kill me with the fire Cronin talk when 2 hours ago they are talking mess to RI fans how we can't lose.
Kj needs to come off the bench and jenifer needs to run pg with Troy as the 2. Clark needs to play to his level. If he doesn't score he needs to rebound better. We have to beat someone ranked to make up for this missed opp for sure.

Positives:
FT shooting isn't as bad as it has been. Team was above 73%. Got to the line more than RI.
Turnovers: only 11 in the game against a ranked opponent.
FG shooting wasn't terrible. Shot selection could be better down the stretch.

Negatives:
Rebounding. Only 29 boards? Ellis and Gates would have had that in the first half.
Team passing. Only 8 assists? Are you kidding me? Cashmere Wright would have had that in the first half.
Basketball IQ. Cumberland needs to learn when to foul.
Defense. Close out 3pt shooters? Nah.
Coaching/Game Plan. Ditch the zone? Nah.

Cincinnati might lose this game, but….

If Frank Mason is hearing national POY So Far footsteps, it may be Jacob Evans.

Ugh.

The prepping for 3 years is ridiculous but this was a home game for them. Doesn't mean we shouldn't have held on to a 12-pt lead, but it helped carry their momentum.

Meh, I would rather have the win instead of a POY mention after 3 games.

When Caupain, (Johnson), and Evans are gone next year that's two big losses and one addition by subtraction.

Is Jenifer, Broome, Cumberland, Gary "Invisible" Clark, Washington looking like a winner? Looks like a bubble team to me.

Jenifer
Caupain
Evans
Clark
Washington
6th man Cumberland

I may boycott until this happens. There's no justification for Kevin Johnson playing and Caupain having to play PG bc of it.

Love all the hot takes. Lose to a ranked team on the road and everyone wants the coach fired. Not like we lost to some scrub team on our own floor.

Obviously there are some issues that have been troubling this team and they need to be fixed ASAP but honestly, if you believe with all your mind and heart the Cronin should be fired tomorrow, you are not a smart person.

I completely agree. If it took you this long to believe he should be out of here, then smartness is definitely an issue.

Not sure I'm sold on Cumberland yet. Freshman growing pains and all.
