'Exactly one day after you told me to back down and enjoy the.ride....and now you're boycotting. Come on man.

I was being dramatic. I've been very anti-Johnson for a long time though and he continues to absolutely kill this team. It drives me insane. I guess I'm a fool for trying to have hope bc the exact same thing happens every time. Doesn't mean the season is over but we just do the same thing all the time and hope for a different result. I think there's a word for that.

Why did we stay in zone??? They solved it. They started killing us from 3 and out rebounding us. Rather than adjust we just got murdered the last 25 minutes instead. Coach Cronin will never learn though...same go-to lines in the press conference. We just weren't tough enough! My a**. It's not like our guys stopped trying...it's that he refused to adjust and had them in a situation to fail.

Martin was in foul trouble the whole game and their starting point guard was carted off, yet Mick and co found out a way to do what they do best and that is blow close games. Doesn't matter if they don't have much talent or if they have a lot, the outcomes rarely change.

i hopped into the car to pick my wife up some panera bread after the game. The radio was on 700 and i heard cronin say "the team needs more toughness" so sick of the cure all for cronins teams being "toughness". No , maybe sound basketball skill and understanding.

I remember there was a time you were Johnson's #1 supporter.....

If Gary sits on the block he clogs up the lane for penetration by the guards and Washington. He is too small to only have back to the basket skills.

The guards don't penetrate so that doesn't really matter. He isn't too small, especially with Washington occupying the opposing teams best player. Clark is a low block scorer. Sure, in those rare occurrences when he has a big slow guy on him perhaps pull Gary away from the basket but he isn't a good enough shooter. Teams scout. They'll know to give him the outside shot. He needs to be on the low block.

And KJ shouldn't be playing. Develop JJ and Cumberland for when it really matters. Only weakness on this team right now is the SG.

Highly disappointing today. Not sure what's going on with gary.

Rebounding a major concern.

Cumberland is going to need to step up quickly.

I am very surprised many of you are surprised at this outcome. I am disappointed, but what expectations did you have? Its ok to have expectations as long as they are REALISTIC. We werent going to run the table; we are going to lose another 5-7 games; and we will all be on this board all season questioning Mick Cronin. 6-8 seed in the tourney.....blah blah blah. Those things will NEVER change.

But lets take a deep breath... in through the nose and out through the mouth. We just lost our 3rd game of the year to a very good top 25 team in what was essentially a road game. At the same time however, I saw a burgeoning star in JE3 and a center in KW that can create matchup nightmares. If we can assume GC and TC play to their normal potential (cant figure out GC right now, its weird) i like our squad come March. Id much rather watch the ball played today than the rock em sock em 48-46 games we usually see. The "enjoyment" eye test passed for me today. Lets hope, despite Mick, our players can fix simple mistakes and move onward and upward

Sidenote of importance : KJ SUCKS. Lets sacrifice him to the bench warming gods. Its UNBEARABLE to watch sub-GCL talent play at a high college level. Or i should say, "try" to play

With all the above said, PENN STATE IS A MUST WIN.

Basically what I was going to say, I don't think we lose that many more games though, I think the team is still just learning to gel. We all got really excited by the play of some of the new players, but it's obvious the old scorers are having some trouble. As much hate as there is for caupain recently, we know what he is capable of and it'll get there, same with Clark, he is not going to play this way all season. I think having such a good scorer inside with him is just taking him off his game but it'll work itself out I believe. So many people to jump ship, it really is sad, give the kids some time to figure it out. We obviously have some tremendous players this year, and probably the best player in a decade with Evans, that's the kind of guy you need to go late in the tourney, and we have him. This was a huge game and it really hurts to lose but still have three other big non conference games. Time to go out and get things done, GO CATS!

What does Cronin practice all week? We've been watching the most discombobulated offense ever.. For years. One pass.. Throw up a 3. 2 passes.. Drive the lane and throw up a miracle. He is an absolute joke. I truly cannot believe that we've had to put up with this idiot this long. #disgusted and embarrassed

They scored 71 on the road yesterday. Offense was not the problem. They gave up 76. Defense and rebounding were the problem. I thought Mick's big deficiency yesterday was his defensive game plan. Stayed in the zone too long after Rhode Island cracked it. I was very encouraged by the talent I saw on the floor yesterday. I think we will be a very confident bunch come March. I was very discouraged that a veteran experienced team showed similar traits to last year as a unit. Team simply needs to learn how to play with a lead. We had them on the ropes, it's maddening.

I was at the game. It was very loud. Essentially a home game for Rhody. We lost the game because we did not get 1 50/50 ball. Especially in the second half. Rhode Island is a very similar team to ours, but I would say slightly more talented overall.
