Most talented team I've seen UC have in a long time. Kyle and Jacob will challenge for player of the year in our conference. Gary will get it together. However this team had a 12 point lead and still blew it. This is on the head coach. You cant trade talent for toughness. You will have albeit a prettier but same outcome. This team lacks toughness. They were soft all night. With the ball, rebounding, and just having the mental toughness to know what a good shot is. Kyle was outstanding but threw up two ridiculous shots at key times. Troy walked the ball up the floor in the last minute. The loss tonight probably cost us 3 seed lines with the loss of a quality win and now we dont play Duke. We could have gotten beat by 50 tomorrow by Duke and it would have helped our resume. Not having this team understand what was coming and what today meant is on the head coach. Not sure what I expect from this team moving forward because they have some damn good pieces. Frustrating....

You should expect what we always should expect. 21-24 wins and a 7-10 seed in the NCAA Tournament. 1 postseason win a season maximum.

Na. Much more talented than years past. That is undeniable. Talent can overcome a lot of things. Today was not encouraging but I'm gonna choose to be optimistic about this squad. Still think they win the league and make it to the second weekend. But I agree with this head coach at the helm it would not surprise me if they conform to what they always are regardless. (If that happens there is no question the coach goes to the hot seat)
 
We like to use our conference as an excuse, but we've lost our big games recently to Rhode Island, St. Joe's, UConn, Harvard, and Creighton. It's just not good enough.
 
I'm not in full meltdown mode and writing the season off but this is getting old. Losing big games is a constant theme.
 
One of the expectations for us fans was to have a team ranked all year. 3 games in and that's out the window. Who knows, maybe the dumb voters would've saw a Duke loss and knocked us out anyway. But that's irrelevant bc we didn't even get to that point. Really disappointing.

Did not see the game, but Duke beat Penn ST by 10. Better not over look Penn.
 
Dont like the way Gary looks this year. Seems like Washingtons presence is taking him off his game. That said Washington is a beast. So sick of UC teams that cant hold leads, same old story again. Everyone needs to step off the ledge though cuz thats a good URI team. If shit doesn't change ill be on the rooftop with some of you though.

Maybe some of us aren't as comfortable getting dominated by the A10 as you are.
 
Yet another unbelievably frustrating loss. This team has way more talent than URI but the difference is they got good guard play and UC doesn't. You simply can't be a very good team when your guards are that bad. KJ is not a D1 guard. The best thing about his horrible start is it should be obvious even to Mick that he shouldn't be playing much. If he was doing just okay he'd probably remain a starter but there is just no way he can continue to be thrown out there after how bad he has been.

Clark has been a huge disappointment. If you aren't going to try to score, at least get some boards. He should be cleaning up down there. Why is it that Mick constantly tries to get his 4's to play on the wing? Gary Clark's bread and butter is on the low block. No where else.

If Gary sits on the block he clogs up the lane for penetration by the guards and Washington. He is too small to only have back to the basket skills.

I may boycott until this happens. There's no justification for Kevin Johnson playing and Caupain having to play PG bc of it.
